The forum has lots of sections, some busier than others. There are a lot of active threads that are occasionally interesting which you could post in.
I'm sure that if you, or anyone, passed those pesky fifteen days by talking with genuine interest about movies/games/racists/hardware, then the 'epic trolls' would meet your eventual invite request with rather more reticence :]
