I thought it was fucking great.

The film like, fucking great.

I hope the new Avengersy one is as goood, because it would be fucking great if it was.

Green Lantern was pretty shite.

I think I remember Squeamous commenting that she hated it.

I enjoyed it but I think you are mistaking "great film"' for how spot on perfect Chris Hemsworth was as Thor.
Hard to imagine anyone else bringing both so much machismo and likability to the role.

Green Lantern did suck though. Jumping right out into space with first better grounding the character on Earth was a major mistake. Also how they choose to have him make use of the ring was pathetic.Guns, really?

I thought the script / story was ace, Brannagh's directing was ace, the acting was ace, the production values were ace, the sets were ace, the music was ace.

Pretty much ace.

In fairness Thor is only marginally a better comic book hero than Submariner:sick: so turning that sow's ear into anything close to a silk purse gets my vote for Academy Award for all involved.

Reason? Overly simplistic? Didn't like the art direction? Sir Anthony Hopkins in a fright wig was guffaw inspiring?

All that and Marvel. I hate those cunts to the max.

I'll hate them less tomorrow after I've read the first Before Watchmen. You can bet I'm a gonna be hating on DC fuckloads worse then.

Then the new Batman will come out and I'll love them again. They're like a disfigured whore with a surprising extra tit.

No, my default position is loving the fuck outta things. Then I resort to hate when people fuck up what I once loved, or pertained to. They don't even have to fuck it up, just deviate slightly, or even look sideways at it, whatever it is.

Them cunts should be shot.

English and Learning apparentement.

I have no idea what that means.

I know she wrote stuff like I had never even heard of before.

A Crown of Sonnets was one thing and a villanelle and something called a sestina. That was only one module like, there was also all sorts of other stuff.

I really have no idea, it all seemed very technical.

Yes it was shit. Really weird mashup where one of the Village People was sent to help some scientists stop some emo queer from destroying the Earth. He had a big hammer for fuck's sake, which has to be the shittest weapon of mass destruction in the world. Hey Thor, great you're here, what have you got? We could do with some nukes or some lightening and shizzle. Yeah no, I don't really need a hand putting up any giant shelves. K, bye then......
Avengers was about 45 minutes too long.

Saw it.Ridley Scott remains a genius with imagery but (in deference to Squeamous . No real spoilers included )
I thought it was the usual slow buildup to a characteristically violent/gory Scott peak.
Nothing like I figured it would be and kind of got the sense the writer was fishing not entirely successfully for anything other than the predictable "whoa Aliens".Repeating myself here but anything that wasn't "been there done that" seemed a little like desperate reaching than organic .
Cast was good them that got parts that didn't play like afterthoughts.A few thrills ,a lot of confusion and ultimately kinda unrewarding.

That's fair. Premise was good but execution poor.
