bah! cricket, it's a sport i've not been able to watch for more than 10 minutes at a time. same with baseball. although that's just personal preference and i'm sure that maybe if i gave these sports more of a chance i'd maybe enjoy them more.

congrats though, sincerely. :)

;) Well yeah! Like I watch cricket! 'Cept for the odd drunken one day match, but you've got to watch it live to be any fun. No, the point is, and I'm trying to be subtle here:

WE WON!

Yes, girls all athletes have cute bums. @ang, ella, honey, lee anyone else...

Quotes on Cricket:

Cricket is basically baseball on valium.

Say, when do they begin?

It's been very slow and dull day, but it hasn't been boring. It's been a good, entertaining day's cricket.

"Sunny. Don't get out first ball. It's a long way back to the pavilion."

hey UKman... it could be worse for ya.....

you could be a kiwi like me living in oz...

dang if'n I don't hear every kiwi joke there is at least 10 times...

the latest doing the rounds is this one... (musta got 8 emails of it today)

Supreme Court case - NZ

A seven year old boy was at the centre of a courtroom drama last week
when he challenged a court ruling over who should have custody of the
boy.

The boy has a history of being beaten by his parents and the judge
awarded custody to his aunt.

The boy confirmed that his aunt beat him more than his parents and
refused to live there. When the judge suggested that he live with his
grandparents the boy cried out that they beat him more than anyone. The
judge dramatically allowed the boy to choose who should have custody of
him.

Custody was granted to the All Black rugby team this morning as the boy
firmly believes that they are not capable of beating anyone.

edit: yea I know it's a cricket thread but I wasn't gonna start up yet another Rugby Union thread.... it hurts too much :(

 Awww! You guys! I was already logged out and ready to shut down. That's so sweet!

Yogi, one day matches aren't so bad to watch. I have to confess I've only been to a couple but one was a match in Perth, Aussies against New Zealand and I went with a whole bunch of Kiwi's and we had the best time! (I think!) Yeah, we did! I'm sure of it!

:) Oh yeah! And the Aussies whopped the Kiwi's which would no doubt have added to my pleasure. ;)

heard a commentator say it was a fitting end to the All Blacks 2003 World Cup contribution..... <_<
