Come again?
What does the "W" in "CDR-W" stand for then?

;) You are way behind the times brother...go get a cd burner...$50.

They will be obsolete in a couple of years with DVD burners anyways...maybe you should just get one of them.

Well, dfanningfan, if there is no CD Writer in your PC, you cannot burn CD's......
Which is fairly logical, because if we could burn Cd's with a regular CDR player, why would they even bother making CDR-W's?

ie. c:/windows/options/cabs/
then go too the folder and dubble click setup

this assumes u got the files in a zip or such not as an .iso or a .bin an .que

Was this thread supposed to be a joke or what?

A cd player plays.
A cd writer writes and plays.

Although you might have an option in a virtual drive. I had a program a few years ago that tricked the computer into believing that an iso file was an actual CD drive. ANy thoughts anyone?

All you need is the I386 folder on your computer - then go to http://www.bootdisk.com/original.htm and download the Windows XP Custom Install Disk and copy it to a floppy. Then all you have to do is use the boot disk to boot up and then from the dos window open the I386 folder and type winnt

You do not need a cdrom of any kind to do this provided you downloaded the iso image. Just extract the I386 folder from the image using winiso.

if your talking about virtual drive, yes most of us have heard of it, but the way the question was put leads you to believe they thought they could burn without a burner

u can take your harddrive, put it in the oven, u following? okay, then u put some cookie dough on top of it, then u make a perfect mold of your harddrive out of cookie dough

now here is the tricky part. open up the cookie dough harddrive carefully and then u will see a disk. take it out and put it in your cdrom drive.

SHH, DON'T TELL ANYONE!
