Just pointing out here that Jacques Rogge is Belgian - yessir, he sure is.

It all seems like a massive, ghey Americanism to me.

I hope the merkins get Boris Johnson as their next president. He's fully qualified, and i've had enough of seeing the posh twat guffawing in the news.

Best moment of the evening: some guy waving like a nazi as the German team walks in.

The Americans seem to favour the paramilitary look this season.

As for the ceremony, next time anything happens can someone please not save the Queen?

Also the general problem with these things is that it's now become a massive game of one-upmanship in which the main loser is my attention span.

Final note ,someone please pass some sort of law where senior citizen rock stars are not allowed out in public .

The opening ceremony rocks! I bet Mitt the Twit Romney can breathe a sigh of relief now the attention is focused on athletes.

I watched Breaking Bad instead.

I'm not much into singing and dancing but I'll watch the fuck out of the sport.

It sucked.

Beijing was the best opening ceremony I have ever seen.

We had real fireworks (not CGI), and the lad with one arm was really singing, so there :snooty:

Nah, I hate the English more than I hate the Chinese, which is saying something.
It's just that Beckham transcends my inbuilt xenophobia.
