He's the guy who came up with the first loader that modified Kazaa settings in a major way.

He just created Diet K and helped K-Lite with DKSig Tool.
He's credited at the main site at www.k-lite.tk (http://doa2.host.sk).

Chip has done a great job :) I used DK for a while and had very good results.

But when kazaa updated, a replacement came out kinda slow and the people here gave us substitutes as well as new improvements. When the new DK came out, most people felt there was no reason to change.

The improvents found here at this forum were not only as good, but some were better/different. Add to that the programmers costant updates as well as listening to what we wanted and accomadating us when possible or finding a workaround, well, customer service here is just a bit better.

As far as Chip not getting enough credit? Well, I read something about people at fastrack working on a standalone program that would be separate from kazaa. If they do that and the program is a great success and the programmers here either are not a part of it or do not keep this version up to date and exciting how many people do you think are gonna keep coming back here to say "don't forget these guys started it"?

Maybe Chip should work more with these guys or the guys at fastrack to keep coming up with improvements instead of worrying about credit due for a program that seems to be getting further out of date as time goes by(sorry Chip, you probably have no idea someone is here asking for credit).

As I said before, Chips program was good, but the inovations here are non stop and the service is great :D

Chips working on RC3 of Dietk, dunno what all will be changed/fixed/whatever with it though nor do i know when it'll be coming out.. All I know is he's working on it..

Don't really got much to say about givin chip credit though, other than he must not care to much about it or he'd have come here and said something about it himself...

Kazaa++ has surpassed DietK of course. (great work random nut ). It's just that before DietK nobody seemed to think you could modify Kazaa much. The only thing that was being done was reshacking the spyware. Chip changed all that. A freakin' pioneer I say. :)

I only started using p2p programs in oct 2002, and only after $hareGeezer Networks released Kaaza v2.0.2 (with update reminders for older versions) did I consider writing K++. It's sharman's fault, really. :D
