thats the funniest thing ive read in a long time! i think the vast majority of us were thinking the exact same thing but to see it in text so eloquently put was great man!
i wasted my time space by downloading several passworded movie files and then trying to break the dang things open. had already seen 2 of em too lol. but hey, i got that time wasted now, without resorted to sex! (shudder).

See the problem with that is 1. It is extremely unlikely that you have any claim to original ownership on what you are sharing 2.You aren't actually sharing,you're replicating or more accurately counterfeiting. 3. You aren't lending a copy of Jonathan Livingston Seagull to Fred down the street,you're sharing with potentially hundreds of thousands.

As for you're high horse I'm guessing it's perch would get pretty precarious if someone decided to break into your home and steal that second television,that like the excessive profits some material generate ,no one really needs.:mellow:

Btw, I also wanted to comment on how FST has been going for so long, that this blip still doesn't mean it has to close down like e.g. FTWR deemed it worth closing itself down in 2009 after losing a year themselves :)...

And then I thirdly realised, that in its 11-year history so far this db loss will go down as a pretty notable event :). Losing an entire year - to me it's mostly pretty hilarious, now that I think of it, and am just glad it got back up on its feet again. 2012 was a pretty uneventful year to me, but again I do empathise with those who lost good stuff :/.

That week 'down' really seemed to have cleared out a LOT of folks, at least in the Usenet section. maybe it will slowly recover in the next few weeks, don't know.

As if on cue, I had two machines in the last couple weeks 'go south' on me, the first was due to the cpu heat sink compound 'drying out' (machine is 9 yrs old) and the generated heat tripping the 'shut down' mechanism (had to pull the dual core cpu, clean up the old compound, and re-dab the thing), guess I'll see if it dry's up in another 9 years.

Then one of my larger 4-core machines started acting up, it may be RAM going on it, only a few days of testing will flush it out.

It's spring time, time for things to go wacky.
