I would say Game of Thrones too,
with The Walking Dead very close behind
Justified, then Southland.
and if we start talking comedy
then Big Bang is No. 1
followed closely by Parks & Rec,

Now do this one.

AD or Curb.

Contractions :because one never knows when AD might actually stand for A.D. (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0088471/) and Curb for Curb Appeal (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0383761/)

Btw I was obviously being facetious as we're all cool filesharing types and only watch cool stuff and basically pox of the viewing preferences of the general population, mindless cattle that they are although just once I would like to see someone admit to liking The Bachelorette.

I basically pvr everything so I don't have to deal with the evil that is advertising. Before I started doing that the commercials got so bad that I took to timing the show/commercial ratio and I'm not making this up but I've seen it as bad 3 minutes of show to 5 minutes of commercials.

Actually I'm toying with the idea of getting rid of my cable entirely as it costs me like $1500 bucks a year and for at most 6 shows that I truly want to watch.
For that kind of per series investment I figure it would just be cheaper in the long run to produce them myself.

I stopped watching TV years ago and simply began to download the shows. Most of what I watch doesn't air here or is several seasons behind on schedule.

Adverts on TV make the heckles on the back of my neck stand up, feelings range from mild irritation to sometimes outright rage. :pinch:

I watched a U.S. show from 2011 called 'I Faked My Own Death' last night, very funny but apparently true stories ..
Want to see: 'I Almost Got Away With It' aswell :),
Also i like 'Ghost Adventures' and 'Paranormal Witness' but the former now sometimes makes me feel like having an epileptic fit the way one scene jumps to another so fast. It didn't used to be like that.

Was into 'Worlds Worst Tenants' but it looks a tad fake, entertaining though ...

Okay, two of my favorite subjects... I use to pvr shows... until I knocked a perfectly frosty new Beck's off the table "Fast Forwarding" through one of the many stupid commercials.

Latest all time stupid commercials for me... "Perfect Polly" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ELrZRru0UbQ). ...really people get a life!

Lately I have been getting into another season of "The Killing" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1637727/) ...perhaps it's just the eerie music, but the show grabbed me. Mireille Enos character portrayal is just great acting to me. (I can't wait to see how she does in WWZ.)

I watch what I want to watch, when I want to watch it... commercial free thanks to NZB's... spoiled maybe... but, good grief, when I am at a friends and their TV is on, I get all out of sorts when the ads start... I think they switch the frequency to some conspiratorial consumer addict level... God help us!

You're a bit of a walking cliche aren't you, Peter.

Even with the one glass eye I would have figured you to have better taste than to be watching Two and a Half Men.Especially considering that you starred in one of the greatest movies of all time.

And I'm not talking some wank Wings of Desire or A Woman Under the Influence or even The Princess Bride here.

Obviously I'm referring to The Great Muppet Caper.

House of Cards holds the top spot at the moment, but I'm going to begin Game of Thrones and I've heard that might... Upset the order of things :)

Then again... I did like 24 back when Jack Bauer actually kicked butt, but then he became a grandpa and that kinda fell off for me. Also Dexter got bad :( that would've easily trumped House of Cards, but failed.

The Universe - Season 4

(S04E01) Death Stars
Season 4 opens with an exploration of dying stars, the process where stars become supernovae, and, occasionally, become the biggest blast in the universe as a gamma ray burst (GRB). One death star, named WR104, lurks 8,000 light-years from Earth and some believe its GRB arrow is aimed directly at us. A death star galaxy named 3C321 is a frightening vision of what could one day befall the Milky Way galaxy: a companion galaxy's black hole being hammered with a constant blast of high-energy particles, wreaking havoc with its celestial bodies. Nearby, Death Stars Eta Carinae and Betelgeuse burn through their fuel supplies as they hurtle toward extinction...which just may be too close for comfort.

(S04E02) The Day the Moon Was Gone
A look at what the Earth would be like if the moon did not exist. Includes the changes of the oceans and shifting currents, unusual weather patterns, and the changes which would occur between day and night.

(S04E03) It Fell From Space
An examination of the natural and man-made objects which make their way through earth's atmosphere and make their way to the ground and what can be learned by the scientists. Such items include asteroids, parts off of rockets, comets, meteors and other space debris.

(S04E04) Biggest Blasts
An examination of the most powerful explosions and blasts in the universe. Includes a look at the Mexico's Yucatán peninsula and the impact which caused the Chicxulub crater. Also a look at gamma rays and Big Bang Theory.

(S04E05) The Hunt for Ringed Planets
An examination of all the planets which sport rings: Saturn, Uranus, Jupiter, Neptune and even Earth with their ring of satellites. Included is, what the rings tell us about the origins of both the solar system and galaxies.

(S04E06) 10 Ways to Destroy the Earth
An examination of ten ways to destroy the Earth including being sucked into a black hole, annihilating it with antimatter; being hurled towards the sun; and the end of gravity.

(S04E07) The Search for Cosmic Clusters
They are the one-stop-shopping places for learning all about the nature and variety of stars in the Universe. They're unique, because in clusters, all the stars were born at about the same time, from the same material and all are at the same approximate distance from Earth. This means we can be sure that any differences among them are due to their true natures and not distorted by different distances from Earth and other factors. In this episode, two kinds of star clusters in the galaxy are explored. "Open Clusters" are young, live in the spiral arms of the galaxy and give us insight into the birth and formation of stars. "Globular Clusters" are old, live in the outskirts of the galaxy and could be nearly as old as the Universe itself. In addition, explore Galaxy clusters to reveal the large-scale structure of the Universe, which is expanding so fast that eventually all other galaxies, except for our own, will literally disappear from our sight.

(S04E08) Space Wars
Outer space is already an essential part of America's ability to fight wars. Our military depends on satellites for many things, such as communications, reconnaissance and targeting information. But so far, no country has put weapons into space, although the U.S. and China have both shown they can shoot down satellites with ground-based missiles. If weapons do become a part of space, how will they work, how effective will they be, and what type of damage could they do? From ground-based lasers to telephone-pole sized rods hurtling from space at two miles per second to the far out weapons of the distant future, it's time to "lock and load" for Space Wars.

(S04E09) Liquid Universe
A closer look at all the type liquids which exist in our universe, including scalding iron rain, lakes of methane, oceans of electrified hydrogen metal and miles-high geysers.

(S04E10) Pulsars & Quasars
They sort of sound like the same phenomenon, but Pulsars and Quasars are very different. Pulsars are tiny--only a few miles across--but they spin as fast as a kitchen blender and sweep the sky with beacons of radiation that make them appear to flash on and off. They have unbelievably strong magnetic fields, are more accurate than atomic clocks...and they can even tell aliens just where to find the Earth! Quasars are at the other end of the spectrum. Quasars are huge cores of galaxies with black holes that are called "monsters" and which spit lobes of radiating gas called "DRAGNs." Quasars are so far away, we see them as they were only in the distant past--meaning they existed only in the early universe, when they may have played a major role in the creation of the galaxies themselves.

(S04E11) Science Fiction. Science Fact
Researchers make an attempt to turn science-fiction concepts into reality, including testing a "transporter." Also, physicists rewrite fundamental laws of the universe.

(S04E12) Extreme Energy
Ours is a universe of energy, from powerful jets ejected from black holes to the raw nuclear fury of our Sun. But, the total amount of energy in the universe maintains perfect equilibrium--no more can be added or taken away. Because of this, there are enormous amounts of energy being transferred...electric, thermal, kinetic and magnetic energy are just a few that keep our universe balanced--and create awesome cosmic events and stellar displays.

and a bunch of copy/pasting .

In a never-ending attempt to talk sense even though here it's generally pointless,I would think mentioning what you actually like about a show would be of infinitely more value than simply naming it.

I love spy/Delta Force stuff but I couldn't even make it through the first episode.
And that's saying something as I've painfully hung in for every episode of Marvel's Agents of Shield which is totally infantile shite.

The storyline is ludicrous but as evidenced by the last episode, nothing currently airing does fight scenes better.

If someone has never watched this show, they should. The show starts off slow in the 1st season, but trust me, give it time. Just amazing show overall.

I like the show but let's be honest and admit that the writing sucks.
Also the producers have consistently made bad choices concerning characters and worse, now basically ignore some of the "mythology " they created.

Still, better than Almost Human where suddenly ,wtf?,there's a 50 foot wall surrounding everything that somehow up to this point went totally unmentioned.

Totally disappointed in the season 2 finale*.For a show that adheres to the adage "Too much is never enough**" it's like someone clued in to the fact the payoff was too reminiscent of the other big showdown with Rabbit in season 1 and decided to cop out and dial the whole John Woo looking setup back.

*Except for the last minute which sets up season 3

**Going to have a fight with a seemingly unstoppable assassin? Hey why not have it on an interstate with semi-trucks whizzing by?

Yeah 24 is great if you overlook seasons 2-8.

Anyway honestly, Kiefer never really made for a very good action hero did he?
Now that he's borderline in need of a walker I can't get past the fact that any reasonably fit female yoga instructor could probably kick his ass without working up much of a sweat.Which brings me to the truly mental decision to include Mark Hamill,Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher in the cast of the new Star Wars movie.

I can only speak for everyone but I doubt that anyone truly wishes to have whatever fond memories of their youthful selves trampled upon in the name of commerce nostalgia.

"Yay" is slang for cocaine so they only use that as a cheer at Miami Heat games.
