I've been searching far and wide for a Linux binary poster, but am yet to find anything decent. Does anyone know one that has the following features?

supports SSL
does not require the use of a GUI (can be controlled via a terminal)
automatically creates NZB files

Any help would be very much appreciated. The best I could do so far was newsmangler (https://github.com/madcowfred/newsmangler) with an SSL tunnel, but it's a mess.

How much of a mess is Newsmangler? I was thinking of trying it...

How much of a mess is Newsmangler? I was thinking of trying it... On it's own, it's working fine. The problem is that it doesn't have SSL support, so you have to run another program if you want to tunnel it's traffic to a SSL enabled provider. It works, but it's not optimal.

ssl is overrated, most of the clients don't even check the certificate.

Check out this project someone has been working on -> https://github.com/midgetspy/Lift-Cup That project is unfortunately irrelevant, because it's not a usenet client. It's simply a backup script and I already have one of my own.

Have you tried JBinUP? I use it on my Win8 machine and it's a pretty nice program. They do offer a Linux version but be warned the site is in German so you will have to use a translator. The program itself is in English though and fairly straight forward to use.
Also it only meets 2 of your 3 criteria. It does offer SSL out of the box as long as your provider offers it and it can automatically create an NZB file. Unfortunately it is GUI based not text based from the terminal like you wanted.

Well I already mentioned that in my first post....Would you like me to bold it for you so you can see it? I think the OP is going to be hard pressed to find a binary posting program to meet all three of his requirements. Especially that one. In a Linux environment no less.

I knew about JBinUp, but thanks nonetheless. Unfortunately being accessible through the terminal is a priority, as I would like to integrate it in a script I'm developing. newsmangler does all three with the use of stunnel so for now I'll be using that, but I was really hoping there was an alternative that didn't need that much tinkering to get it to work.
