Hi,

I discovered this small player - prebuffering is not so often sometimes -
on winamp.com forums. And after reading that some guys wondered
what is GSPlayer which some listeners use, here it is:

hope you enjoy listening to klb radio!

I found it some time ago it was hard to find something smaller
than Winamp 2.9 - I searched for a player which was smaller and could
connect to Shoutcast Stations as well due to the buffering issues, but the
buffering not only depends on the size of the player - it depends on connections
of listeners and broadcasters as well :( ;)

Another thank you, that's really cool.

Is there a way to open those sites in internet news' player, or do they just open in Winamp, which wouldn't be a problem.

Or is using Winamp the best way to play them anyway.

Just make sure GSplayer is the registered player for playlists[.pls].

Then just clicking them in the list will do.

Though very popular, i still find winamp an overrated "systemfucker".
Far too much possibility's......

If you just want to stream, there are even players of <200 k.!!!

I find internetradio one of the finest "inventions" of the latest years.

There are stations in everybody's taste, quality is superb if you select 192kb

stations and higher.

Have fun listening.

Just remembered.

Winamp in combination with "streamripper" will record sessions to your hardisk.

Even when you stream a "mix", it will place the songs seperatly on your HD.

Cool

If you save the pls file, rather than open it, you can use it as a direct link to the station. All you need to do is give it an appropriate name.

This gets better and better.
