SO i'm noticing that with tweaknews, as long as it has 30 (maximum allowed) files downloading with grabit it downloads to max speed but when the total amount of files in grabit starts becoming less than 30 my speed gets really really slow. How can i fix this? Any service that downloads at max speed even with just one file in grabit?

Thanks alot guys id really appreciate the help.

Some clients seem to suck more then others maybe it's Grabit? Have you tried using another client like Alt binz or something else and see if that helps your speed? I know with Newshosting and Alt binz client I can max out my speed in about 9 or 10 connections but with their usenet client they made it seems to take more. Same with Newsbin Pro when I used to use that,it took double the connections I use now and have twice the speed I used too.

http://www.altbinz.net/index.php?page=downloadz you can try the free versions and see if you like it. I used the free version for really long time and never had any problems.

Hmm, good point. I believe when I use sabnzb it's always maxed regardless of files I think. Ima try alt binz. Any other clients?
Because when I have like 10 files my speed is like 200kb/s and I have 50mb/s so it really sucks.

Thanks man!

If anyone else could throw in their two cents it'll really help.

Try nzbget, http://nzbget.sourceforge.net/Main_Page

It's all C++ code, so it should a ton faster than sabnzbd and python.

alt binz definitely did the trick dude. you are a god~ the speed fluctuates a bit but it nevers dies out near the end like grabit does. neat little client.

Never used grabit myself but is there a 'connections per file' setting?

The number of "files" you're downloading shouldn't make a difference, it's the number of "connections" you're using. The question you need to ask is "why isn't grabit always using all of my available connections" - and the answer to that question may lie in your configuration somewhere.
