It has come to our attention that the world of XXX is starting to make a fight against torrent sites carrying XXX material.

With this in mind and added to the updated and stricter guidelines of PayPal's Terms Of Service regarding sites with XXX material we have decided that in the best interest of the site, and to secure our future with as few problems as possible that we should pre-empt any of these problems by removing XXX from Torrentshack.

PayPal has a huge list of terms regarding this material and we feel that the potential issues that could arise are just not worth the risk.

We expect to remove the material in 1 week (20th Sept 2013). The removal shall include both the torrent sections and also the forum sections.

It has not been an easy decision for us to make and we know it might not be the most popular one ( for some), but we hope you will agree that for a "Slightly" more secure future it's quite a small price to pay.

Pretime 5/5: they auto upload all scene categories (no porn :S) and they are only behind SCC and GFT for a few seconds/minutes (so who cares?)

Content 3/5: all recent content is there though you shouldn't expect it to be a strong archive like SCC, IPT, etc

Speed 4/5: a lot of seedboxes seeding the new stuff, it will probably make the most of your connection easily. Not so good if you're expecting good speeds on older torrents.

Overall 4/5: it's ratioless and there's no seed time rules. Only thing they monitor is your overall uploaded data and logs of your downloaded history are deleted everyday. Can't tell you about community because i'm not really involved.
If you actually want new stuff and don't care about leet bullshit stats, i can't see no reason why you shouldn't use them.
