I can only speak personally but in my case it's because I don't have a clue as to what you are talking about.

If you ever need to know something about Van Morrison I'm there in a heartbeat though.

Soulseek is a p2p program for music only. It has a general search for shared stuff and rooms for different types of music. I'm sure it has some video too.

Not really. I belong to many private sites, and they don't have everything. What.CD is the biggest music site. Take an interview and join, unless your country is banned. :) For Canadians like me and IdolEyes, the only music we need is Wayne Gretzky Sings The Blues (Because Of His Daughter Paulina).
