Hi all,

Wanted to tell you about a new project I'm working on.
It's a marketplace for files, where you can share your files for FREE or to sell them for BITCOINS.

It's a new service, so please, feedbacks are ON!

:D

This, although legit and seemingly well-received by bitcoin ad revenue seekers (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=100863.0), may be objectionable to a large number of filesharing members who believe bringing money into the sharing of files weakens the community as it puts a greater MPAA/RIAA target on our backs.

EDIT- Additionally, we tend to also like to know people sharing things (links/files/pages/videos) are doing it for reasons other than making a fast buck $.0001.

Agreed. It's only going to draw more negative attention to a system that is already being attacked from all directions. Not really much different than selling DVD5/9's on a street corner.

Yeah, six years later it's clearly become such a blockbuster that the whole world is talking about it...

Agreed completely; the "but those pirates were making millions of dollars" excuse serves pretty well to justify their activities and legitimize them to the general public.

I'm not dumb enough to think no one out there is profiting from filesharing (case in point: IPT's sysop), but to allow it in such a direct way would be destructive.

Notice that in December 2013, I saw bitcoin as a source for microtransactions. :pinch:

Money is evil. Everyone needs to move to a commune and live off dandelions and the muddy water you get from boot imprints in the soil after a rain.

You forgot love for one another and the sound of music decrying one's oppressors and celebrating the freedom that should be!
