I breastfed both my kids for a year each, and never once felt self-conscious about feeding my babies. The benefits of breastmilk over formula are well documented, so I hardly need to repeat them here.

Here&#39;s me breastfeeding my youngest daughter in a sushi bar in inner Sydney about 3 years ago...see - I&#39;m not even blushing&#33;&#33; :rolleyes:

I don&#39;t understand why breastfeeding in public is an issue at all... I don&#39;t understand how women can be against it.... when I had my kids it was being pushed as the best thing to do for baby... and it is....

there is nothing sexual about breastfeeding.... the emotions you get when holding a baby close and feeding it with mothers milk are the most powerful emotions I have ever experienced....

but if we lose all humour over it and become staunch feminists with a cause the joy of breastfeeding a baby is lost to us...
