Sega was the best system when it was released. It's "failure" was in not being able to obtain a "must play" sort of game to bring in the average consumer.

Also nice spam topic.Sure to elicit a lot of insightful debate like the previous post.

Xbox One but it`ll gear up from next Christmas when fan boys settle down.Xbox one is media house plus good for kids and grand parents when they see kinetic and interact with it .

I have both and both have their pro's and con's, basically I think it comes down to the games that will be released.. the exclusives could make a huge difference, but I am also looking forward to the whole steam machine thing.

When I do pick one up, it will most likely be the ps4. I really like their PS+ program. Currently own both the PS3 and the XBOX 360. I end up playing the 360 more right now because that is the console my friends play on.

Most of the Xbox one games are 720p. All the PS4 game are 1080p. I prefer Ps4 for gaming. Xbox is better overall when you include the media access.. Both suck for not supporting DLNA or loading simple files like mp3s, jpegs off a USB stick.

Not got a PS4, but it would be my choice over an xbox one. Majority of sales in UK are PS4 I believe.

I dont think there is a point in buying either just now, there are now original games?!
Maybe in a year or so....

Love the way Xbox Live works, the simplicity is what stole me away from PS3 but would love to go back to Sony but not sure on how the whole party chat, game invites etc works compared to XL? Anyone care to explain how simple it is in the PS4?

Also agree with others, its far to early to buy either unless your loaded!

This is the first launch in the past few generations I haven't bought a console. I'm waiting a bit to see how things play out, but at the moment I'm leaning toward a PS4.

I have both. Its really difficult to tell which will be better. The killer games arent out yet. Right now, Ryse on XBox has the best graphics on either system, but its very linear. Personally I like the stuff from Naughty Dog and Quantic Dreams, so I think Ill like the PS4 more in the long run. The vast majority of AAA games will be on both systems and play almost identically. Even most of the TV stuff like Amazon, Netflix, etc will be on both. Just follow the exclusives.

PS4 because I don't want to pay for online play.

I'll wait for the first price drop to decide. With the previous generation the first revisions of each had heating issues which I don't want to deal with.

I'm honestly pretty ambivalent towards both of them. The killer games haven't come out yet, the PS4 has moved away from being a media center, and Xbox has proceeded to try and fill that space.

If I had to choose though, I'd go for the PS4 simply because face it, I get the console to play it, not for a social, media center.

I'm quite happy with my PS4, but to be honest, I've been a PlayStation fan since the beginning. :)

Xbox One... but they have some work to do to bring some of the features back that the 360 had... also Party Chat is a train wreck. Nothing against the PS4... looks like a solid system. Probably couldn't go wrong with either one.

Both! The Xbone UI does seem a bit clunky - can't say I'm too impressed so far

01-22-2014, 12:28 AM
Its the games that matter. My boy wanted a PS4 -- it took me a lot of work, but I had it for xmas -- got Battlefield and and extra controller, he plays PS3 more simply because of GTA and his friends having games on PS3.

I think we will have an Xbox One in the near future as well.

PS4. The Xbox One is kinda lacking outside of the US with it's whole multimedia appeal. I still can't wait to get both though for the AAA exclusives.

I have always been a huge Xbox fan but I am concerned about the Kinect requirement for the Xbox One.I am disabled(double amputee) and the Kinect is something that would be hard for me to use.Can it be turned off?

XBOX One ftw! I've had mine since Thanksgiving and it is an absolute blast to use, yell at and is an overall gem.

I`m with the PS4. The only thing that worries me is it all seems online. By that I mean Skyrim wants subscription and Deep Down also. Giving you the game free but have to buy stuff ingame.

Obviously PS4 superior in everyway. Hardware blows Xbone out of the water

I will most likely get a PS4. But I just don't see the benefit of buying now when there are so many good (actually better) games out for PS3 I have yet to play.

It is possible I may totally skip this generation all together (or maybe just waiting a few years).

You know a topic of a thread is worthless when it generates less insightful posts than the average Word Game thread.

And sadly,no I am not exaggerating and look for yourself it you don't believe me.

Neither really have any must-play games on them right now. I don't think I've turned on my PS4 in the last 6 weeks, there's just nothing worth playing right now.

With the technology growing at a rapid speed, I feel PC's with Robust and Higher end Graphics [like Alienware,AMD,nVidia]that can eat both Xbox and PS4 !!!
I Prefer PC's which are upgradable
