Since we moved to the new server I have problems with Opera Browser 6.05.
Very often (but not always) when I go into 'my controls' or 'compose new message' it freezes up my computer.
Does any other Opera user have the same problem?
I hate rebooting!

I'm using Opera 7.01 wo/Java & have no freeze problems. IMO Opera 7.01 is far superior to 6.05. I suggest an upgrade. :)

Yeah I know, I had the 7.01 at first but downgraded to 6.05 because it's a lot faster.
I miss the 'Magic Wand' though. :P

Opera 6.05 crashed all the time for me. I thought it was an f'n joke. Got rid of it. I thought what the hay I'll try 7.0. Man I was suprised how good it is. Then of course got the 7.01 update.

Hrm...maybe I'll have to upgrade my downgrade again. :P
Funny thing is, it only crashes on this forum, otherways it's just working great.
BTW: do you NEED the Java that comes with it?

dunno what java Opera has with it, but if it's a good browser, you should be able to use whichever java ya want... I recommend Sun's Java, IMO, it's the best there is...

Don't get me wrong. I still use IE6 10% of the time. But I swear Opera's at LEAST twice as fast.

I should have thought about it a bit longer:
I did have Java already because everything worked fine, so I don't really need the Java that comes with Opera.
Getting smarter all the time... ;)

Same for me, 90% to 10% in favour of Opera, I like it a lot.
But when I downgraded from IE6 to IE5 I found out that Opera7 was actually slower than IE5, so I replaced Opera7 for Opera6.
I'm wondering now: when I'm upgrading from Opera6 to Opera7, do I need to upgrade from IE5 to IE6 as well?
No wait, better don't answer that question... :D
