There's an issue with HD-bits.ro, it appears like it's oppened, but when you try to registers the crappy message "The current user account limit (10,000) has been reached. Inactive accounts are pruned all the time, please check back again later" appears. It seems like it's open for a few minutes and then closes again. I wanted an account in HD-bits.ro so I checked its signup page for about two hours until it was open again and I successfully registered. Who says patience is fruitless? (BTW: the site was closed for signups a few minutes later).

Do you have HTTP referers enabled? I remember the old signup page would do the exact same thing if they were disabled. I don't know about the new one, but if you've turned referers off, changing that would be worth a try.

I've been observing some things for a while and it's just mho, I think that you and a few others (unless you know them all), if you were of the mind to do so, could make a really cool list of what countries are banned from what trackers...

...(even though, it only takes a few bad apples from those countries getting caught selling invites which is THE BIG frickin NO NO that some do not have the capacity to understand. That and trading.)

What really made sign up is the design , they've got 2052 torrents. It says " Reborn " I guess it was bead before.
I've also noticed that they don't have all the new stuff like torrent leech , but it's a starting tracker so I guess that's normal .
also they give you 2GB bonus to start. what I don't like is that the news isn't in english and that means that it's a foreign tracker but I think that doesn't matter.

Interesting reading .Just my opinion but some of the questions seem in counterpoint to each other.
Also I don't agree with" forced " participation. I understand that the idea is to only have people involved that use the site but seriously most people run hot and cold on things and just because you are a useless wank one month doesn't mean that you will necessarily be one the next or that you don't necessarily value the site.
I mean sometimes there just isn't anything that you are interested in downloading or nothing being discussed that you care about.

TL.org doesn't usually open its doors just like that... but if you see the words "#invites" or "invite code" followed by a number, you can be sure it's the real thing. :happy:

You can usually tell the difference between a tracker that is normally very closed and a look - a - like by what comes after the [dot]. If there's a .pl, it's Polish.

Other examples-
Fat.LV= Latvian
Metal.iplay.ro = Romanian (Thanks for that one sangos! Probably my favorite Music tracker)
RmvBusterS.pl = Polish
MusicTorrent.eu = Hungarian (The .eu can be used for other countries as well)
Evolution-network.ws/ = also Hungarian (and open btw...)
Animebyt.es = Spanish or other Latin based languages....
Czeck Best Tracker.cz = Czechoslovakian
So on and so forth...

Other sites like Nordic T, DanishBits, SweTV...well their name usually (more than not) says it all.

Indeed .es is for Spain, but having such a domain doesn't mean the tracker is on that language or even hosted in that country. Animebyt.es is on a Canadian server, for example. :)

You are absolutely correct. http://i95.photobucket.com/albums/l153/shell63/curtseywl6.gif The servers could be anywhere. I was only giving examples (hints to look for) of the language of the tracker itself.
(I would move to Canada if I could. Music is not illegal to share. It's too fricking cold though!)

There are many others, like -
TNetwork.ath.cx. It is a German tracker (also open, but I didn't like the WOT rating, so didn't join), but sometimes the ath.cx is used for Hungarian sites too.

This is a new tracker from the UK (afaik). They have 788 torrents and are general 0 day.

I think they will do well as long as they have responsible people on staff instead of a bunch of rug rats.
