I can find torrents that were uploaded and I was seeding prior to their shutdown, which wasn't the case with that other d2.vu site.

It looks like I'll have to eat humble pie, I've been looking for Midnight Caller series 2 & 3, for some time now...I just found them.

The site can use some seeds. Certainly would not hurt for people (myself included) to revitalize as much as possible. If everyone found 5 old torrents and got them going, the 'oid would be back full-force in no time...

yeah make sure the directory pointing to were teh files are dl torrent in your client they should recheck once they hit 100 percent checked should seed

Correct. Provided you have not changed or moved anything in your download folder, re-downloading the torrent should run a hash check on the files and then start reseeding as if no time has passed. :)
