They're not scene only anymore, they're pretty much the same as any other general tracker out there now. The only scene tracker i know is FTN.

Just because you're "only interested in scene rips" doesn't mean that the tracker has to be scene only.

How difficult is it to just download what you want and ignore the other stuff?

Agreed. And SCC is still a scene tracker...They just now have a section dedicated to P2Pgroup content (Which, in a LOT of cases, is much better quality than Scene anyway)

And i totally agree too, i was just pointing out to the op that the reason he gave to join the tracker is not actually a very valid one... specially now.

Those .00043 second differences can really add up over time. :yup:

so when you want fast car and someone tells here's a smart car its only 10 seconds slower .... that works for you ?

thanks for your helpful post

Honestly, you are facing an uphill battle because:

1. You have only bothered to make 8 posts in 2 1/2 years- including this thread.
2. Nobody knows a single thing about you.
3. You are using the same arguments that have failed for years.
4. Most of us are either on SCC, or (more likely) have given up on our accounts because there was really nothing to any of the hype. Just a normal tracker, with normal files, getting them no discernable time difference sooner, with the same crowd of members who are on every tracker.

You don't necessarily have to give up, but #1-3 are valid points that you can do something about. That said, so is #4...

Well for what its worth

1.Only made a few post over the years ... i was using usenet and never had any problems... i mainly just read the posts
2. Im new to torrents about 2 months but been on efnet for like 15yrs :) from usa so banned country wouldnt be a problem
3. That really is my reason for wanting this ..... scene and pre speed

I'm surprised you didn't just go strait for FTN... I guess that's a point in your favor :whistling

As mentioned previously, the scene is ubiquitous. You'd actually have a better point if you were arguing a preference for a particular p2p group that is easier to find on [trackerX]. I've been trying to ween myself off IPT, but they seem to have shows that are days earlier than other sites, or those other sites just never get certain files. Certainly, a greater difference than the millisecond variances among scene releases.

well another reason i choose scc over ipt was because i read this thread

As a usenet guy who probably travels in the same circles you do, I think you're going to be disappointed. Trying to get back into the tracker scene, I'm noticing the difference between the very fastest scene trackers and usenet is right around 1-5 minutes on most stuff. I guess the question is what type of content in particular are you looking for?

Knowing what I do now, I'd follow megabyteme's advice and focus more on the p2p encoders BTN, etc. Not to dissuade you, just food for
thought.

EDIT: Blurays and larger things, I'd give the advantage to the trackers. Maybe a couple hours.

I wish it was that easy

mainly after full blu's...lazers ,o0o sharphd and so on .... these take along time to reach usenet :( after allyourbase died

I'LL TRY TO STAY AS ON TOPIC AS POSSIBLE WITH THIS POST.JESUS,YOU'RE A FUCKING MODERATOR!!!!!!!!

That probably explains something.Exactly what,as per usual, I have no idea.

Also from my years spent in pre-med beforeI clued into the fact that you can make more money selling drugs without a license, plus no need for the added expense of malpractice insurance,I can tell you for a fact that pres tend to suffer from health issues, so given a choice I think it best to take things to full term.:)

Obviously anytime someone posts "usenet" in a thread I have to stick my fat head in. Funny thing, one of my duties includes policing the wee nzbers lest they incur your wrath. Granted I've been doing a shit job, but I'm learning as I go. I move my lips and use my finger when I read, so it's slow going as you can imagine. In the meantime beta blockers & xanax are indicated. I worry you'll stroke out.

Pre-eclampsia is serious business.

From my experience, ruling is easy.Simply do nothing useful and execute anyone who causes you any real trouble.

Hope that helps.:)

Also remember that no matter how terrible a Mod you are, you're still better than skiz. :)

To be fair when you're rabid and waiting for the next Game of Thrones to come out I certainly wouldn't mind the quicker turnaround time at a faster site rather than waiting the 10-20 minutes for it to come out at TVT.

Then again I don't understand why pretimes would matter for anything other than TV shows.

If he had requested FTN and mentioned the pretimes, that would be so 2009.

 I'm guilty of hitting [refresh] repeatedly for GoT (as well as flipping between sites like a junkie). Added stress of wife going to bed and having to wait an additional day if not ready to watch at a certain time...

Watching Hannibal right now. Just into 4th episode of first season. Enjoying it, but feel it is both pushing the edge of network TV, and at the same time, would benefit from being unbridled via HBO or Showtime. Lots going on already- thanks piercerseth for the rec! :)

I watch the prebots waiting for the GoT announce like a hawk. Everbody is F5ing that shit (HBO take heed).

Glad you're enjoying Hannibal. THIS IS MY DESIGN. Seriously though, tell me the visuals don't make you hungry? Also, Bryan Fuller said he'll shop the show to the premium networks if it gets cancelled. And that seems pretty likely at this point :(

megabyteme

He seems like quite the talented chef. :) That would be an interesting twist if the premium networks picked up a show that got canceled on network television. It has quite a high rating, though. Mads is quite good- and that's saying something with Hopkin's shoes to fill. The thing lacking is Lecter's true darkness. Illusions and flashes don't convey enough, it seems. Maybe I'm not far enough in to make an informed decision. Now watching s1e6...

I bet all you drooling, diseased fucks also know what day of the week and approximate hour each episode comes out. What's the point in breaking from the grid if you're going to keep listening for and responding to the bells?

Same reason that they like to call themselves "pirates" I suspect.:ghey:

Personally I never watch anything live probably because everything is recorded or at best tape delayed and that is something considering the fact that my real name is Pavlov Dog.

PS You're all lemmings and I would hate you if I hated anyone so I guess you rodents will just have to make due with fluctuating levels of contempt softened by pity.:)
