Nope. She has never asked my age or for a pic. She really knows everything else about me, though. Funny and very true story for you , and it may make you feel more normal LOL!!! I have a very close couple that we are friends with He just turned 78 (married 3 times), and his wife is only 50, is that weird?? In my opinion for him no!!(trophy wife) for her?? Well yes(Daddy issues)..

Now not revealing your age and me knowing it and her never asking it and she really is 21, i can say without any doubt there is something wrong with her!!
Why do i say this?? Even if you are in fantasy land, and you are without a doubt feeling very manly and having a good time, if it is every spilled that you are old enough to be her dad!! , what do you think would happen??
It is like going to a porn site and on the side advertisements, they offer Milf or Teen dating sites to join?? There must be a few people that do try, but i can honestly tell you i am not one of them...But i like to look at the pretty videos :01: , but not fond of the bestiality ones:huh:

Honestly, I know this one would not freak out. Unless she is *really* poor at math, she knows that I am married (and have been for quite a while), have a house, she knows that I am finishing my 2nd MA (and knows the other areas of studies I've had), knows I had rough years *before* finding my way to college, knows that I have 6 y/o kids, etc. She would have to know I am *at least* in my late 30's, if not early 40's. Remember, we have been close (daily interactions) for the past 6 months.

EDIT- I have 6 yo kids. Say 4 years married before. Have a 4 y degree. Have a 2 y degree. Have another 2 y degree. Say 5 rough years before school. And start with a 20 y base leading up to school. That's a total of 43. Granted, some of those years could overlap, but still. The info is there.

I can say that there are women who are drawn to the fatherly type. *That* is my superpower. :01:

What I found interesting is that when I was an intern at the Writers' Center last quarter, I had several early 20's students (mostly* female) stay with me long after their sessions were over. A couple killed an extra hour with me.

*True fact: One who hung out with me was a natural female who identified as a male. Seriously cool, tbh.

shaina

It is very interesting Meg, and i wish you the best always, and if it keeps you sane and in the thrill all the best to you, and i really mean that:D

And the 78 year old is actually a camp director, and funny that all these young mommies dropping off there kids are in love with this guy, and i have known him for many years , my kids went to his camp and also worked there as well. To me he dressed like Richard Simmons, and kind of looked like an older version, but i can tell you without a doubt he was a Pussy Hunter!!!, and not the young kids ever!!, but the mommies were always in his thoughts, and he met his last wife in the country club. I get what you are saying, and i do know it happens all the time that younger girls/women fall for older guys, especially when they have really good personalities...That would never happen with me because i am an Asshole in real life LOL!!(but my heart is really bigger than my mouth), so again it is not that i don't believe you, because i really do. Again it is just not my thing, I like hearing the stories, they are very entertaining, but it will never happen in my life...

Keeping to the OP, I'm a 60's-70's classic rock, 60's soul, 80's-90's metal, 90's alternative listener. I can't stand 99% of the shit from the last 20 years (excluding music released by older bands). Today you don't have to be able to read/write music or play an instrument, much less be able to sing. There are very few musicians coming out today, they should be called entertainers.

When I listen to the radio I'm really struck by how poor the voices of the singers are on a lot of Top 40 songs. I swear to God that Drake is continually off-key.

I don't think it's asking too much to expect singers to be able to actually, you know, sing.

They are not singers. They are entertainers. It doesn't have to be good as long as people buy it. I can't stand country music, but at least most of them can sing and play instruments (and probably read/write music).

My main music interests are sticking around classical music and jazz/blues. I tend especially toward instrumental music rather than vocal. And among the whole world of instrumental music I'm particularly fascinated by piano music. Actually, I do not mind some R&B, some electronic music. Additionally, my music tastes are constantly evolving so who knows what I might discover next?

The first two are quite melancholic. The third one sounds rather interesting. And BTW it looks interesting too. I would rate the performer piano technique as great. It has a little bit too much reverberation for my own taste, but it seems to be a requirement for contemporary music styles.
I'm more into Classical and Jazz piano. As, for example, "Chopin Mazurka Op. 17 No. 4 Paderewski Rec. 1912" and "Oscar Peterson - Wave". However, I would say that you definitely intrigued me with the third video and I will check out more of those. Thanks for the share.

The third is also melancholic in a different way, but it's okay, because that's where piano truly shines. As for the musical theory stuff, I know nothing about it and I'm happy that way; the more you analyze these things, the less you enjoy them.

Good point. I can agree with you. Sometimes I find myself not listening to music, but analyzing music theory instead. But real art begins when you don't think about music theory while listening, even if you know it. This kind of thing begins when the performer is just playing with your emotions, touches your soul. Thus no matter what the style / genre is, it can become my favorite music, if I can feel it. That's actually might be the way I evaluate if the music is worthful.

No offense to anyone except Idol.
Now I know who speaks music language (knows music theory) on this forum. ;)

Chopin wrote polonaises (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polonaise), mazurkas (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazurka), waltzes (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waltz_(music)) which are actually dance music.
Also there are some examples of dancing to Chopin's music; I would rather not do it. While Chopin's music is based on dances, it's actually far more than dance music.
Try to dance to "Ignaz Friedman plays Chopin Waltz in D flat op.64 n.1" (hint: very fast for an actual walse). :)
Or try to dance to "Mazurkas, Op. 63: Mazurka No. 41 in C-Sharp Minor, Op. 63, No. 3" (hint: uses extensive rubato = changes in tempo).
So, you might be right. :D

Well, almost.
Beethoven has got a refresher! There's an opinion among some musicians that if Beethoven lived now, he would be a rock musician. However, this music example shows that Disco / R&B might also be the case. BTW, Clavinet part adds some funky touch to this, which I find cool.
