Hi guys... i question popped up in me today at school, and i thought id ask it here:

i mean, if i went for a months vacation, would you notice me gone?

just a thought...

People are missed, questions are asked.

The chaps here think of each other as real people and not just a machine replying to them.

Once your born, thats it - your part of something. I guess how much people think of you depends on your input and how far others will go to get to know you even more. But ive seen your tra la las around here and the cat, well my cat often asked me why he couldnt have a gun just like that - damn birds outside jerk him off no end

Anyways, your part of this board untill such times you decide otherwise ;)

I remember my teacher asking me what part of a car is most important, the wheels, the engine, the gears?.........All of them, one does'nt work without the other.
So yes, people would miss you, but not all people, some would'nt notice, while others would be wondering :)

Why, where you going?

lol... i see that my avatar has helped me "get in to the businness" in this board eh?
lol.... all you need to do is take a model of an M-15, make it smaller, and shove it in your cats hands..
sadly, my cat dies, aged 10, on April this year... :(

The most important part of a car is the nut attached to the steering wheel.

Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving
And revolving at nine hundred miles an hour,
That's orbiting at nineteen miles a second, so it's reckoned,
A sun that is the source of all our power.
The sun and you and me and all the stars that we can see
Are moving at a million miles a day
In an outer spiral arm, at forty thousand miles an hour,
Of the galaxy we call the 'Milky Way'.

Our galaxy itself contains a hundred billion stars.
It's a hundred thousand light years side to side.
It bulges in the middle, sixteen thousand light years thick,
But out by us, it's just three thousand light years wide.
We're thirty thousand light years from galactic central point.
We go 'round every two hundred million years,
And our galaxy is only one of millions of billions
In this amazing and expanding universe.

The universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding
In all of the directions it can whizz
As fast as it can go, at the speed of light, you know,
Twelve million miles a minute, and that's the fastest speed there is.
So remember, when you're feeling very small and insecure,
How amazingly unlikely is your birth,
And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space,
'Cause there's bugger all down here on Earth.

Haha.. I'm probably the 'well almost'. I'm only a newbie, and my current post count is *around* 46. LOL - I've been here nearly a month. Though I'd like to come back to this post one day with my post count in the tens of thousands! ;) [For anyone who isn't mathmatically minded that is - xx xxx] Heh..

When I signed up here it was to ask one question, that led onto another, and another yadada, but isn't that what newbies are here for? However I now see myself expanding out of the questions board and I try to help others. OK so maybe you don't get a lot of praise for it but you feel you have a purpose.. and that is why I admire everyone on these boreds who takes the time out to press 'Reply' to a poor old soul who everyone regarded as a 'n00b' and just because they don't even know what K-Lite is that they should be ignored. So thank you to all those people;
A few inparticular who helped me out;

Thanks you guys. I hope maybe one day someone I have helped will be able to say, 'Oh yeh Mat_At_Home' helped me out! ;)

Thanks you guys!

The nut holding the steering wheel is the most important part of the car.

Other people understood it was a serious point, made in a jokng way.

The brake-lines are pretty gosh-darn important too. I'd say the two are equally important.

I have to admit i dont really know you. My fault or yours, i dont know. I do however have respect for your comments as long as you stick to the point and are genuine even if i dont agree. I will of course let you know that - be sure about that.

However, lets examine your first question:

im i a vital part of this forum, or am i "just another member" in this board?
i mean, if i went for a months vacation, would you notice me gone?

Yes you are a vital part of this forum. It will of course exist without you as it would without me, but now you are a member, your input is very valuable. You are only "another member" if you dont help to expand it. If you just hang around and read without at least trying to help or even just saying "hi" once in awhile.

But you are not in that category, so therefore a valuable member.

If ever you go on holiday, be sure to let us know so we can wish you "bon voyage" and greet you upon your return :D

Peace

In a way you answered your own Q, as what's more important than other's thinking of you as important is thinking of yourself that way :)

Everyone on this forum is important, as each person bring's something different to it, a part of themselves that they're willing to share with other's :) (In Jonno's case that seem's to be his good friend Will lol ;) And yes you did say you were going to call it that Jonno, but you were drinking alot whilst that thread was busy lol)

@ UKMan - "damn birds outside jerk him off no end"? Uu, that's a strange cat, i'd take it to a vet's to make sure it's ok if it's letting them do that lol ;)
