"Archives is a simple voting based content generation system.

You can vote for content to be uploaded and on slow days the archive system activates and
the content with the highest vote values commences. Once a release hits a minimal vote value
of 10 it becomes part of the queue system. As more votes are applied to a release the higher
the points value and the greater chance of it being regenerated.

However, You can only vote for the content once per cycle as a cycle is defined as the life of
the content on the tracker before its removed as seedless.

Complicated? It's actually pretty easy to understand the SP system, and it pays off when you want to... download something. It allows you to do so without fear of ruining your ratio.

Hell, stoi even posted a dumbed-down version of it. Just read through the BCG review thread, and if you have any questions you can ask them there, too.

Not to jump on the band wagon here, but if my girl that is completely new to bittorrent can understand the SP bonus then any idiot can as long as he/she knows how to read(all you have to do is keep your client open, what's so complicated?).

Your argument isn't a very good one. And I wish more sites used the excellent system that BCG has.

The one gave you a 1:1 ratio on any torrent after seeding them long enough (varies according size), right?

That and their "trial accounts" system were two pretty good moves from them, I'd say.

torrents at Iplay are very poorly seeded once they are older than 6 months or so
i once downloaded a 5 GB file which had only 3 seeders so very very low speeds
it took me 7 days to complete the DL,
but the Iseed system compensated me only for 30% of the filesize (as only 30% was finished in 5 days)
i kept seeding, but the ratio took a hit :(

safe to say, IPlay is good only if you look for torrents not older than 6 months
for anything older, Filelist has much better speeds

When you add systems like that to help people avoid ratio trouble, retention tends to decrease. When people are done with that torrent (seeded for 72 hours, got a 1:1 ratio), some will stop and delete it, as if they keep on repeating the cycle they'll be fine as long as the rules are concerned. Although ideally they should seed as much as they can - since that will make the torrent live longer and they won't be "stealing" others' ratios anyway. Sadly, there's no silver bullet, and you can't please everyone.

even if you dont actually upload anything, the seedpoints would take care of your ratio
did you even read the FAQ and or the seedpoints for newbies?
If i am not mistaken you have been at BCG for quite some time, you haven't adjusted yet?

about BitGamer being difficult to seed, you got yourself a Pulsedmedia use it

I can seed at BCG with seedbox but my 24X7 device has Transmission 2.31 which unfortunately is not supported by BCG will try to boost ratio at BCG

So have this friend and he had me join a site the other day, leechfrom.me.

Right now it's a general tracker with mostly XviD, BRRips, BDRips, x264, cams etc...

There is also some internal releases for VIPs but, the majority of releases are for the public.

staff seems cool and friendly and got some p2p encoders popping in shout/chat from time to time.

there are only 400+ members and they may close sign-ups soon

they are also looking for up loaders (i think)

It's not server crash....its lyk this. And I don't know anything about this tracker...I going to use it cuz of it's name....

As your all aware on Thursday the 17th at around 10.23 GMT, our site server encountered a disastrous motherboard meltdown that took out our RAID+1 setup and killed everything dead. We got new server up and running and initiated database backup from January to no avail The only option open to use was cloned partition from our dev server Please be patient as our dev team bring the site back up to full capacity in a few days. we should have at least 90% of site functionality back and torrent index.

I've been told activity decreased a bit when they moved to Gazelle, but if you're looking for a good 0-Day tracker, T-D is worth checking out.

A little bit of history: they started as a place where a certain Non-Steam group shared its releases and updates. Then it switched hands, the original name changed a bit, and they began offering 0-Day material.

I suppose you're looking for an open tracker, otherwise it'd make little sense to ask in this thread. Anyway, I'd recommend RuTracker, but it depends on what you're looking for. When it comes to English stuff you probably want something like FileList.ro, but it's not open (they gave everyone two invites recently, though).

From what I can see, there's Music the Net (Register) (http://musicthe.net/signup.php). They are ratioless, have a Polish interface, and 8,640 + torrents.

(We may have different views on what constitutes a "rock band". My definition of rock may be somewhat subjective as I am probably older than you and from TX. Stuff like Led Zep, Journey, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pink Floyd, Clapton, KISS, Joe Satriani, Eric Johnson, Steve Vai, AC/DC, Deep Purple, and such are the way we roll...)

I don't know of any other ratioless sites that are not invite only (CoExist? SqN I think is closed...). I really don't pay attention to whether a music tracker is ratioless. I just seed till me eyes bleed.

But if you just want some seriously kick - arse rock trackers, these are two fine ones (RmT is my fave!) -

MetaliPlay (RmT) ~ App (http://metal.iplay.ro/signapp.php)
RmT has a lot of RoCk. ^That^ is just an app that asks a few questions such as "what kind of music do you like..." and profile links. No big deal. 16,000 + torrents.

Rockhard Lossless (Register) (http://rockhard-lossless.com/index.php?page=signup) has approximately 7,595 torrents. They are normally closed, but open at the moment. Nice community.

There's also Rock Box (http://www.psychocydd.co.uk/account.php). They have 19,177 torrents (Plus I don't think you have to register...). It's a bit heavier metal (site) but still plenty of rock.

The Zomb (http://zombtracker.the-zomb.com/signup.php) is a cool site too. They frequently have ratio free downloading.

This thread (http://filesharingtalk.com/threads/390736-mid-size-music-trackers-%28not-what.cd-and-waffles%29/page2) may help. From what I've read, there were three (ratioless), nut now only two (I could be wrong).
