The stats are gone. We are under going changes as you may have noticed.

We all got together and decided to be judged by a ratio was just....wrong. Alot of us here are old time p2pers and Once Upon A Time it was all about sharing and no one had to force us to do it.

Torrent sites kind of changed that concept and made it all about numbers both with the ratios and the number of members. We are trying to bring it back to being all about sharing again.

You may download as much as you like from and part of this fine site and all we ask one thing in return is that you share for as long a you possibly can so that others can enjoy it as well. It would be nice to see the life of a torrent be more than a few days. For now we are trying an honor system so to speak.

Let it be known, that yes we know that we may be disappointed by the actions of some of the members with them being selfish and not giving what they get. So we also have a set of rules that if they become necessary will go into effect with an announcement of how they will play out.

In the mean time the rules are this. Download and upload as much as you like. Share for as long as you can and then a little more and be a part of the forum and irc channel

danio the reason they dont have many torrents s because they have a TTL (Time To Live) system. every torrent is deleted after a fixed no. of hours. this ensures that during its lifetime the torrent has excellent seeder/leecher ratios. you will never see torrents going dead because of inactivity. the drawback is of course you cannot download older torrents. but for the latest stuff i feel this is the best system. even FL uses it

They use the TTL on regular uploads, but all movie and tv pack uploads don't have the TTL and stay on the site as long as they have a seeder (and of course the packs are always free leech all year round).

yes u can see in utorrent under tracker status and u will see update in

no thats not what he meant. he wants to ask if utorrent will store all the transfer stats when the tracker is not connectable.
answer is yes it will. just dont close that session of utorrent and whenever it reconnects with the tracker, it will update correctly.
the update in counter is merely to tell the user when it is going to attempt to connect to the tracker next

but to my anticipation, i qualify for the #it leech, which i'm taking advantage of right now with ~40 torrents leeching

From right now until January 1st, all torrents on Diwana will be automatically set to (all new torrents), or have been set to (existing torrents) be Freeleech. So your download stats wont count at all, just your upload stats.

But then we got carried away http://diwana.org/pic/smilies/smile1.gif All upload stats are doubled. So it wont cost you anything in terms of ratio to download a torrent, but you'll get double upload credit for anything you seed back. So that's all well and good if you're seeding torrents people are downloading... but what if they aren't? Usually, the Bonus Point system gives you 1 point per hour if you're seeding. All previous "movies of the day" has been given free download & double upload status. This is kinda nice since it is over 150 movies or something that has been given free download status and most of these movies are really high ranked movies, sort of the "creme de la creme" of movies grin.gif hehehehe the "essential selection" if you like.

These movies will be free to download until January 1st 2008. This means that only your upload activity counts, so just download the ones you like but dont forget to seed. Just because they are free doesnt mean that you shouldn't seed back to others. Not only that they are free, they also have double upload activated, this means that if you upload 1gb the tracker will register it as 2gb´s, in other words a perfect ratio booster.
