For me it's definitely deep/future house and nu-jazz (like Parov Stelar). I just feel so alive when I am listening to them!

None of those is technically genres of music.

Music should be thought of like food. You have your four main groups ( Meat,Grains, Fruits and Vegetables and Dairy or in this case, Pop, Rock, Classical and R&B) and after that you're basically just being a dick.

There won't be any specific genre that will uplift your mood, since it is not how music works, but what should work 9 times of 10 is listening to artists/albums/songs which reminds you of those better times in the past. Don't do it too often though. Living in the past means loosing present.

Music improves you feel. Music can make us feel inspired, satisfied and can enhance our wellbeing, as well. Regardless of whether you're performing it or tuning in to it, music can build your joy (just as the joy of everyone around you.)

All of BoC's music has magical mood-altering powers, but I have good memories attached to this particular track, so listening to it on repeat always makes me feel better when I'm down.

nowadays nothing relaxes me more than soothing Jazz and classic piano. After an age, I just feel the need to get away from everything and I found my quiet place on YouTube. Looping songs help me get away from all the day to day noise..
These two is one of my favorites these days: https://youtu.be/iUdDbxrKVfM https://youtu.be/Mi1Nec6k13k

Mister you have terrible taste in music. The only acceptable answer is if course jazz.

But I'll also accept Americana. Not that horribly boring Canadiancana though
