I'm glad you asked that question as my dissertation for a Political Science doctorate at Mississippi State was actually entitled "The Irish:Bog Niggers?".Anyway my research found them actually to be more pinkish in hue and not, here's where it gets really tricky, black or even green although some are admittedly discoloured by coal soot or the salt of bitter tears.

The Irish are a fine lot of people, very warm hearted and hardworking. They are very good at humor I have found and make lifelong friends easily. Thats alot more then I can say for some others living in the UK.... dag-nabit don't ya know der dem tings.
