Have you scanned eBay to see what similar units might be bringing?

That might give you a ballpark figure to start with, but of course, every sale is unique, and eBay is a total crapshoot.

You should be able to get more than that as well, if your throw in monitor and speakers.

Where it will be appraised at four times it's current value. :P

@Duffman...
Why did you post a link to a item that isn't yours?

mooseman2070

Is it not his? Or does it just have the exact same specs? Of course he may be affiliated with that ValueOne Direct store.

Well, he said it's not his auction.

So I'm at a loss to figure out the relevance here.

I GOT IT!! You told him to check out other auctions to get a ballpark estimate. And thats what he's doing. I don't even think his Compaq auction is going on.

Jeez, you mean someone actually followed my advice?

I'll have to be much more circumspect in what I suggest then.

Perhaps I'll just add " Do not try this at home" to my sig...

I think the advice you gave him was pretty good. But maybe i'd go to CompUSA or Best Buy to see how much it is, or I'd see how much it would cost to build and take off about 100 bucks.

You should be able to get more then 350 with that monitor! also if those JBL speakers are real nice 2.1 or up. I would say like 450 at least...

mooseman2070
11-26-2003, 08:28 PM
I'd pay 100 for the monitor. Does anyone know if he's selling it in full set?

james_bond_rulez
11-26-2003, 08:32 PM
i am willing to pay 400 USD for the whole lot ;)

mooseman2070
11-26-2003, 09:34 PM
sell the manuals with the hardwarwe because you can get manuals online for more modern hardware (i.e. your monitor etc.)

EDIT: And wait until you sell so you can have a good laptop.

I still disagree with buying a laptop then selling your old pc. Go to your public library and use their computers for internet. You can get a much better laptop if you buy it after you sell. But if you wanna buy a laptop then sell your old pc then go ahead.
