The free key was part of a Birthday Promotion, from what others have said in another forum the free key still works, but the fee is for use of their search service, not the software.

The key being offered is for a full version of Newsbin Pro, including lifetime upgrades. Also included is a free seven day trial of their built in search function. If you are using other indexers, you don't necessarily need the built in search. But the software itself is definitely the full version and not a trial.

Also if i remember reading when you register for the key, the use of program is lifetime and the search has a fee... I don't use it but i checked it out:)
