They replaced Luke Skywalker with a teen girl in The Force Awakens so I guess it made the same sort of sense to them to replace Han Solo with a teen girl in this one.I guess replacing the Death Star with a teen girl Death Star was too big an ask though.

honestly took the 'reboot' word literally and these movies are a stain on star-wars greatness. knew this was likely to happen as soon as it became disney, and hiring j.j. abrams was confirmation.

I felt a little disappointed when I came out of the cinema.
To be fair, though, I've never liked Star Wars all that much anyway so why my brain told itself that it was disappointed is anyone's guess.

It's just a story in the Star Wars universe, like any of the other shows, books, or games that are not about either of the trilogies. I am definitely looking forward to it!
