I have changed from OpenELEC to LibreELEC.

OpenELEC seems to have stagnated basically, whereas LibreELEC is still being developed, for example OpenELEC is still using Kodi 15.2, whereas LibreELEC is on Kodi 16.1

It would seem the majority of the people who developed OpenELEC have now moved to the new project.

Changing is a piece of cake. Literally took less then a minute (one the file was downloaded obviously)

Download LibreELEC, create an installation drive, boot with the drive in and select Upgrade rather than a fresh installation.

It keeps all of your setting, addons etc, for Kodi just change to the new Linux version they have developed and the updated version of Kodi.

It seems to run better, certainly seems faster and smoother but that might just be wishful thinking.

It's definitely the way to go if you have a machine you use for Kodi and nothing else.

Something about a twenty four hour canary.

I would like to run a Kodi dedicated machine now. Thank you.

Is the Alpha worth trying. I'd like to set this up on mrs.something else's laptop, but she is being stubborn about it.
I'm moving in to a internets with 200mb flat soon. I'd like to be able to stream all the puntsphere without too much hassle.

I will be seeking your advice, should I get stuck with any of it.

LibreELEC is the wasp's nipples old bean.

I have an old laptop from the early sixties and it works a charm on that.

Stealing puntsphere .. it was designed for it.

I'm moving out to zone 2 on the 4th of August. Is it colder in the suburbs.

It's worse if you go right.

Well, if you look at it that way.

I was playing Rocket League against this chap who told me he is trying to make a career of it, so if anyone would like to help him with that, you can watch him playing the game live.

No eye dear, I don't understand clever computery stuff.

As it's basically a Linux install I assume so but I wouldn't have any idea how to go about it.

I'm going to err on the side of indecision. Thank you.

Indecision is the way to go, I think.
