Would mostly like to find books to read on kindle for kids

Margaret Mahy (https://www.amazon.com/Margaret%20Mahy/e/B000AQ3MH2/ref=la_B000AQ3MH2_rf_p_n_feature_browse-b_2?fst=as%3Aoff&rh=n%3A283155%2Cp_82%3AB000AQ3MH2%2Cp_n_feature_browse-bin%3A618073011&bbn=283155&sort=author-pages-popularity-rank&ie=UTF8&qid=1489206708&rnid=618072011) and Lynley Dodd (https://www.amazon.com/Lynley-Dodd/e/B001HCZERY/ref=sr_ntt_srch_lnk_1?qid=1489206798&sr=1-1) would be really nice.

A lot of the book resources I had have disappeared. What's currently a great source for this?

Thanks!

Tried http://bookzz.org/s/?q=Margaret+Mahy&yearFrom=&yearTo=&language=&extension=&t=0

Last time I checked into something like this, which was probably five years ago, you could download stuff from your local library for free.

eMule can also be surprisingly good.

Is there any late fees involved in this:happy:

Google searches work pretty well too - especially since many of the ebook blogs/sites pop-up for a while then disappear.

Any other suggestions? I'm looking for a couple of more technically-oriented books (not fiction); gen.lib only had two out of seven... :(

I know of a few websites for getting magazines. Some of them also have books. I have no idea about kindle stuff.

How do you post links to websites with dereferer? I assume direct linking is not preferred?

mobileread, com, MyAnonamouse, Elbitz, Bibliotik. Not to mention Demonoid and TPB are always worth looking into.

All external links are automatically made to pass through the dereferer, you don't need to worry about it :turned:

This is the only site I use to find crappy teenage fiction books for daughter... it may cover your much more technical needs, couldn`t say as I already have a Zeus book

Try these out... http://marapcana.live/edicola/ , http://adowns.net/ebook/, https://bookshare.biz/ , https://downmagaz.com/ , http://www.ebook3000.com/ , http://magazines-pdf.com/ , https://mgzins.xyz/ , http://worldofmagazines.net/ , http://www.hobbymagazines.org/ , https://www.worldmags.net/ , http://pdfmag.org/ , https://magazinesdownload.org/ , http://www.pdfmagaz.in/ , https://archive.org/

Doesn't look like the dereferer is working.

Doesn't look like the dereferer is working.

All of your links pass through dereferer.org. You may be using some browser addon that removes the redirect (in fact, I am, but turned it off to check).

Usually I steal my books off of inattentive fellow bus riders.

Granted it's hit or miss on getting anything good but the adrenaline rush more than makes up for it.

Stealing from your fellow short bus riders is a new low for you. :noes:

When I click on links someone else posts on here, I first see dereferer. When I click on the links from my post, it just goes straight to page.

Libraries have a very limited budget most of the time and would really appreciate not having to rebuy the same book because some jerk stole it. What is wrong with you? The library is FREE.

I'm not sure you understood the titular question; here's a hint...

Do you people have a problem with b-ok.org, or is it just too obvious to mention?

Also libgen.is, but I guess already mentioned it.

When all else fails then I try the IRC channels, sometimes I get what I need.

As it turns out people upload a lot of stuff into the "docs" part of Scribd that is probably not supposed to be free, if it counts.

Now technical books has always been the difficult part for some areas...

Reddit (opendirectories) can be helpful but you may need to invest some time finding what you are seeking.

Now days, my library provides a e-book, and audiobook service for free that I don't even have to download them anymore. They certainly won me as soon as they started doing audiobooks.

Library Genesis is my go-to site. I've build businesses on the stuff there.

http://vanderburghhouse.com and http://soberhousedirectory.com both built off of the Lib Gen resources. That, and Scribd.

Try https://nzbindex.nl/search You can find literally any title there in epub or mobi format and if you need to change the format use the free app Calibre.
Hope this helps
