why, I shoot for 800mb anything lower will fit on a regular cdr with over burn with no problems, 715mb should fit on a cd with room to spare

or crap, i didn't trust over burn. I had and 780mb iso of Texas Chain Saw 2003, and had to format my drive. So i just got rid of it. Next time i will do.

stop fighting <_<

back to the topic.... i really think we need a one-step vcd creator....like a GOOD one in which you dont have to convert with tmpgenc and then split them...etc...

for enconding a movie i've only seen one program that was a one-step...and it is dr. divx....and it sucked

or am i wrong and there is a one-step program? a good one, that is

lol ok ima elucidate a little more:

a program that includes every enconder, converter, and splitter and configures itself automatically to where you install every enconder, converter, and splitter... and you just tell it how many CDs you want the movie in.... and press start

I appreciate all the replies....thx.....Here's the rundown...Roxio gave me problems when trying to add backgroud and still images to my menus...otherwise it was a pretty cool prog to work with [though I'm not sure it produces the best end results] I dnld Ulead MF, Nero6, VCDeasy, Tpmgenc, Alcohol120% and various players and encoders.... My DVD does play VCD's...not sure about KVCD's yet...I spent several hours trying out some of the progs and they all seem to have their goods and bads...Ulead MF2 looks promising but I didn't get very far before an error message popped up and shut the prog... Anyway, I've got enough to keep me busy for awhile and thx again for the thoughts.....Peace ;)

Nero came out with NeroVision, its really great. you can make great menus and animate them and even have background music, and its easy.
