well now when the screen saver goes on which is black and the monitor sleeps when I come back I have to click the the user icon every time to close the screen and its annoying.

anyway to get rid of this ??

also i had a stupid runtime error too

i know how to keep the system from sleepin,
go to control panel>power options>and deselect which devices you dont ever want turned off (i think windows has a couple selected by default)

but hey, check it out any way, cause i think there is some default selections :P

ok i know that but I want my computer to sleep just taht before I use to come back after it slept and just move my mouse and im in now it makes a chime sound an dI have to click the user name each time manully. mayeb if I switch off that option i should just turn my monitor off manully to stop it

OK think I know what it might be under advanced the ticked box for password after stand by :huh:

have you tried user accounts>change the way users log on/off
(havent had to mess with this before.... :unsure: )

thats cuz your computer is going into STAND-BY mode...

errr....i think i should have thought of that, bbut i aint surre cause its only 5:30 am here and ive only had 1 cup of coffee so far :lol: :lol: :lol:

that was just the 1st thing that came to mind cause i'd leave my comp on to, like, take a shower, get some grub, whatever, and i'd come back to that feckin blank screen (stand by mode) and sometimes i had k++ runnin with someone uploading from me, so it cut them off, and thats kinda rude
(and like i said, only had 1 cup o joe so far :lol: )

To change your monitors power saving settings, you need to choose Screensaver in Display Properties, there you'll find an option at the bottom that says monitor power. The default is to switch off after 20 minutes of inactivity.
