What format are the videos and what type of editing do you want to do? Its one thing cutting out sections of an MPEG e.g. tv ads and another wanting to do splicing, blends, etc and reencoding of videos

Easiest program is Windows Movie Maker, otherwise, you can try VSDC Video Editor

There are hundreds of video editing programs out there. We need to know what type of files (container: AVI, MP4, MKV, M2TS, VOB, MOV, etc. - video: divx, xvid, AVC (x264), VC-1, HEVC (x265) - audio: mp3, AC3 , AAC, DTS, FLAC) you want to edit and what types of editing you want to do (crop, resize, add subtitles, demux, encode, etc.)

The most simplest program to edit videos would be the program that come with your computer/laptop (Windows Movie Maker, iMovie, etc.). These programs were made with simplicity in mind.
