FFS. I still watch his movies, but it is getting soooo difficult to keep going.

The Humanity Bureau was so painful to watch that I recommend that people watch it. Beyond. Bad. In every sense.

This trailer contains every bit of watchable material in the film. All. Of. It.

Will Cage find redemption with his voice work in the upcoming Croods sequel? We can only hope...

I guess when you have money problems, you have to do every movie that comes your way. Most movies are not going to be good. A paycheck is a paycheck.

The best I've seen with Nicolas Cage as the lead actor was Leaving Las Vegas. That was a movie I will never forget.

Other worthy mentions were Matchstick Men, National Treasure (I and II), Fast Times at Ridgemont High, Raising Arizona, and Kick-Ass.

The last good movie I saw with him was Bad Lieutenant: Port of Call New Orleans, which came out about a decade ago.

(Which is to say, that I admire your dedication and persistence mbm; I guess I'm more of a puritan.)

Agreed! Those kind of comedies were what kept me riding the "Cage Train". :)

(...but now with Meg's review... (saved me time and disappointment) ...I think he's run off the tracks.) :alien:

His performance in Mandy rivals Leaving Las Vegas. Definitely his best 2 performances.

Several that fall into the "so bad, they're good" category. Snake Eyes and Kiss of death come to mind.

Nicolas Cage is a love/hate guy for me, I use to really like a lot of his films, and now I just can't stand them.

Aint that Sharknado? Was rather funny I admit. Gone in 60 secs and most definitely National Treasure (x2). Face off was crap and so was Ghost rider

I know it is a pun, but I don't get it.
I would love to understand (I am Swiss of native french language), can you explain it, pleeeaaase ?

The movie is Pig. Rasher is a British word for bacon. Rash means that you do something without giving it a lot of thought beforehand. It's like impulsive but more negative. There is actually no word "rasher" (properly it would be "more rash") but like you guessed it was used in this instance to make the pun.

It was a very poor attempt. In my defence I was tired.
My bar is set low though, for instance I actually like Cage in ConAir.

I had rasher : bacon
I had forgotten rash, hence the missing link for the pun.
Thank you

Willy's Wonderland. I'm still undecided on how I feel about that one. Either brilliant or idiotic. I'm waffling between the two.

"I'd hate for you to be in one of those everyday situations that calls for a battery-operated vagina and you just don't have one."

With that said, it was indeed dark... well, the very concept of a snuff film is.

I trully believe that he is a great actor, such a shame that his life choices brought him to a point that he has to play in so bad movies......

I like Nicolas Cage and I always watch his movies, but some of them are not very good but others are excellent. The one I particularly like is "Next 2007" about foreseeing the future. The fight sequence in the cafe was very entertaining.

8MM fucked me up.

This is exactly as I've described it since seeing it. It is possibly the only film I would not ever watch again due to how I reacted to it. Granted, there are plenty not worth watching again, but this one succeeds in doing exactly what it sets out to do.

And...I've seen the EXORCIST ABOUT A HUNDRED AND SIXTY-SEVEN TIMES, AND IT KEEPS GETTING FUNNIER EVERY SINGLE TIME I SEE IT.

The green jello scene alone was worth two Oscars.

I watched Solomon Kane a good few years ago and was much impressed. Seeing it again, it holds its wonder and power.
