right hi im new and all that......

i just downloaded call of duty Deviance (if that means anything to you guys) and the folders (cd1, cd2)are just filled with rar files.....

how the hell to install the game?

the .nfo file says:

Install Notes:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
1) Unrar with WinRAR.
2) Burn the .cue and .bin with Nero Burning Rom software.
3) Install the game. Use the keygen from the Deviance dir.
4) Copy over the cracked game .exe file from the CD1.
5) And then play :)
in each folder (for cd1 and cd2) there are loads of rar files.... which one? all of them?
i unrard one of them and burnt the .cue and .bin files to disc.... obviously there was no executable......
the overall question is how do i install this game :) thanks a lot in advance
if you un-rared both cd's and got the bin/cue's for both disc continue to burning or mounting
I preferr mounting with daemon tools
http://www.daemon-tools.cc/portal/portal.php
1. Install Daemon Tools
2. On the bottom of your screen there is little icon of Daemon Tools, click it.
3. Click on "Device 0: [H:] No media" (H could also be another letter) and a window pops up.
4. Select the disc image 1 on open. it will start the install like you put a burned cd1 in the try
if you really need a hard copy, nero works good you need to choose recorder-burn image or if you have a older version of nero, its file->burn image a box will pop up and you choose the cue, click burn and it will burn it correctly
That's where it went wrong.
because you have a bin and a cue file, you probably need to get hold of CDRWin to burn it. The App uses the cue file as areference to burn an exact clone of the original CD, using the bin file.
When you launch CDRWin you can load the cuesheet (the .cue file), it will do the rest.
BTW: CDRWin is a great CD burning app.
edit: or you can follow muchspl2's advise, and save a disk.
dont actually burn the bin and cue to cd as files...burn them as images.
get daemon tools and mount them. Easier.
i dont understand any of you, sorry :huh:
what i would do is extract the *.rar. (dont worry about the *.r01s or whatever theyre called)
then just open the *.cue in nero. now just choose your speed and burn away
i still know nothing. were you being sarcastic?
did you understand what i said, it was as striaght forward as possible.
would it work? the only rarpacks ive ever got are myth and class ones, so i dont need to worry about making them into images.
just open the cue in your cd writing thing. the bin does something magic and you dont have to worry about that
i did that, and it burned for a while, but the disc is empty
Mate if you have Nero goto FILE > OPEN and open the .CUE file and Nero will do the rest.
And as said above if you have an older version of nero then goto File > Burn Image and select the .CUE sheet.
If the disc turns out blank then you more than likely have a corrupt BIN file.
best to open up the .BIN file first if you really have tried the above already. So use the Deamon Tools Tutorial kindly postd above and that will allow you to make a Virtual CD drive on your PC so you can View the .BIN file as if you were viewing a CD. that way you will be able to see if the BIN file or files within are corrupt.
