So we had netflix.. now Amazon Prime, Disney+, Apple Tv... all hiring the best directors and actors..
How can we watch everything?!?!

Fortunately a lot of it is crap. No need to watch everything. I've been watching older shows from the 80's and 90's lately.

Watching everything was never possible. Also, what MacGyver said ;)

All these streaming services are super annoying, here I was thinking I should start supporting the content that I like and they keep trying to drain me dry of my money with a million platforms. No thanks.
I don't mind the over abundance of things to watch though, it's up to sift through the trash though.

I read an article where they said that people generally max out on 3 streaming services. That means one of those major streaming services may be old news sooner than they think. Billion-dollar content and all.

You have to be selective! There are very few shows that are actually worth the time...

watch any show > 8 IMDB rating

Massive overload of decent TV at present. It's reaching the point of over saturation of content. You have to be choosy or potentially lose out.

I wouldn't trust IMDB ratings. Some scores are high or low when they shouldn't be.

This is relative to how much time you have to watch TV. Mine is super limited, so I agree with you on being choosy, but I think if you enjoy something enough you make sacrifices to watch it.

I use Metacritic as my barometer for TV shows. However, >8 on imdb with at least 5000 votes for movies.

Most of the shows are not good though. They're mostly pushing out content that ok at best. Don't worry you're not losing out!

Yes, TV shows and movies are so shit these days, it's the better DRM than takedowns

hey has anyone checked out the Dark Crystal reboot on Netflix? I dunno...puppets are great and all but somehow it just doesn't work for me anymore. I thought the original was great, but I feel "puppet" technology hasn't advanced much since then.

they should make more columbo,, i like the idea of knowing who it was and how they did it then you watch columbo work it out,,, nothing on TV i've seen even remotely like this,

but i doubt it would be the same without Peter Falk......... Just one more question Sir!!!

I find that with shows that are released on netflix I am more likely to watch them.

I do have my staples that I watch however

I remember trying to watch everything that netflix put out, but it's both too much and they really do put out stuff that people who arn't me would enjoy.

They also seem to be trending towards a 3-season limit, whether the story is told or not.

People have such short attention spans these days.

“Best” is subjective though.

Looks like I will have to give it a try. I do like series with 10 or less episodes a season.

Yep, the Witcher was great.

But, in general, I don't feel the need to watch everything: You're never going to be able to, and I'm fine with missing out on entertainment products. They don't matter, ultimately.

Rotten tomatoes is usually a better indicator.
