1. Find the key [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer].

2. Create a new sub-key named 'AlwaysUnloadDLL' and set the default value to equal '1' to disable Windows caching the DLL in memory.

3. Restart Windows for the change to take effect.

this came off the tweakxp site, and i gave it a shot, but when i set the
default value for the subkey it entered a regular "1"
(shouldn't it be hex?)

well, thats one i can crumble up and toss then
i didnt give it a chance really cause to me looks like somethings missing
i figured the value would have to be in hexidecimal
and going by this guys method it entered a regular old "1"
no biggie, think i need to lay off the tweakin a little
thanks A.S. :)

I don't know about this tip; unless you don't have much RAM it's probably not a good idea.

As far as the entered value is concerned, the decimal value 1 is also 1 in hex and binary number systems.
