recommend SABnzbd. Combine with Sickbeard and others like it, SABnzbd is awesome.

Obviously, SABnzbd is a popular choice and nothing wrong with that. I prefer Kwooty since it integrates nicely with Plasma 5 and is simple as sin to set up.

hmm might have to give Kwooty a try

Some distros might have the older version of Kwooty which is built against QT4. It should still works if you have the libraries on your install. I use the version from the AUR (btw) which is built against QT5. You might be able to pull the git from the AUR page and use that to build it.

Never heard of Kwooty before, I still like newsbin but there is another alternative so thanks can go on my odroidC2.

I have been using Newsbin Pro since around 1996. It's not free, but I feel I have gotten my money's worth out of it over the couple decades+.

Former NZBget user. Switched to SABnzbd. Couldn't be happier.

Does no one use GrabIt?
I've tried to get away from it over the years as it's not updated, I don't use any of the features, but for it's pure simplicity I keep going back to it.

I was wondering what the latest utilities were for posting to Usenet, and where to find them. Every time I search google with a Usenet related keyword I just get loads of "Join Usenet service [x]" spam . That and dead links. I'm still posting with Yenc Powerpost piped through Stunnel for SSL.

I think the cool kids use https://github.com/mbruel/ngPost these days. And JBinUP still exists...

SAB is good. As of last year I find myself using NZBGet more and more, but I still keep both installed.

Newsbin Pro, but I wish it actually got some further development. Been static for years now.

But if it works, then why leave, a convenient thing I myself can use often
