That should keep you busy for a while. Problem is, it takes over 2 minutes to scan the damn plugins when you start photoshop. Maybe weed out the similar ones.
I just wish there was decent plugin organiser for photoshop. So only the ones you plan to use for that project would load.

Has anyone else had a problem with the font browser in illustrator? I have 2500 fonts and can only see about 200 of them.

might be obvious but you could try this, open a new/existing file goto &#39;Type&#39; menu > &#39;Find Font&#39;, then in the &#39;Replace Font From&#39; box make sure &#39;System&#39; is highlighted

if the numbers are still out by a fair bit, i think it might be that although you have 2500 fonts installed, illustrator doesnt list them all, meaning that for example it will list &#39;Arial&#39; but not all the variants - bold, itallic etc etc as this can be changed from the &#39;style&#39; drop-down in the character menu

Thanks pol but the problem I have is that the font window won&#39;t expand far enough and it won&#39;t scroll. It&#39;s locked in place and only has 3 columns I think. So i now see only like U to Z.
2500 fonts needs scrolling windows or a movable window. In photoshop7 they scroll fine but not in CS or illustrator at least.

I would show you a screenshot but I&#39;ve just reloaded and when I tried to reinstall CS, The 2 days were already expired. :blink:

I&#39;ll have to go through my files for a better copy and try again later.

Someone has :huh: Many times.

Theres probably hundreds of different packages on emule and as many on the warez forums. You just have to go through them till you find the package that&#39;s right for you.
I&#39;ve had lists of 1000&#39;s of ftp servers, all with plugin directories. All it takes is time and patience.

hey balamm - heres some screenies of the way my font browser works. i should say that this is illustrator 10 btw (full disc from the nice chaps at the market before i found this place :huh:), though i dont think cs is any different with this


this one is using the &#39;Character&#39; menu - not sure if its shown by default so &#39;Window&#39; menu > check &#39;Character&#39; - i can use the scroll bar to the right and use the mouse wheel

and this one is from the &#39;Font&#39; menu, you say you can only see 3 windows at a time, if i click on &#39;More&#39; at the top then another one pops up till i run through them all (more than 3 windows worth but not quite as many as you :P)

so i dunno what could be up with yours, if you want this version of 10 then let me know. had a look on some forums and all people were saying was that they were pissed that with CS, they hadnt included a scroll in the main font window like in photoshop, nothing about not showing all fonts. some folks also mentioned the &#39;adobe type manager&#39; to give them more options but i dont use it myself


ps - that plugin-manager you were thinking of, there is a thing called &#39;Photoshop Starter&#39;, its freeware and supposedly lets you set up different plugin directories that you can select among other things before starting up - but every d/l link i&#39;ve followed takes me to their homepage:

In Vizros Plug-ins. the whole image is divided into different "pages". Each page has its own properties, such as "Mapping mode", "Transparency", "Shading", "Position", "Anti-alias", etc. These properties can be set separately for each individual page.
Traditional filter works with only one image. With Vizros Plug-ins, user can load additional images from the plug-in interface directly and map them to different pages.
Vizros Plug-ins work on any selection, not just a rectangular one, as the other plug-ins do.
Vizros Plug-ins support parameters loading and saving. User can save current setting parameters to a file and re-load it later.

Hey people,

This is mainly for balaam or anyone who has the 1700 plug in .zip file.
I unzipped them and placed in the photoshop cs plug ins folder.
Although taking ages to start, it does work but I have some questions I hope can be answered.

1. The filter list goes photooptics and stops, shouldn&#39;t the list be bigger?

2. Are there supposed to be so many bloody andrew filters?, most of them are crap.

Probably most important though:

Can someone give me a link for the best plug ins?
The k=lite wallpapers thread has some amazing graphics made using filters but I don&#39;t seem to have them. Things like the xenofex and others ... I&#39;d greatly appreciate it. :)

I&#39;ll put together a complete package of plugins ( about 3000) plus standalone filters, programs, and the .dll&#39;s from PS7 that PS CS needs, in the next few days and provide a link when it&#39;s done.

Some members have mentioned plugin managers and things they know of, it would be cool if someone could find those so I can package them with this :)

I&#39;ll need some help to get it propagated though, the demand on bandwidth would kill my other projects if I maintain it alone.
