I'm sure there must be a thread somewhere about this I just couldn't find it so if someone could re-direct me I would greatly appreciate it. Anyway

I'm pretty new to downloading movies and I've noticed that I can download the same movie in 1 piece and its 700mb, but in two pieces it adds up to just over 300mb. I want to clear out some of the space on my computer but a lot of the files are way too big for a cd. I'm looking for the simpliest, most reliable program in order to make them smaller. Thanx in advance for your help,

you don't have to buy bigger disc

it will fit on a normal 700mb cdr
again any movie you download will fit, they make them to fit on standard cdr

I'm not trying to be difficult here but everytime I try to burn one of these movies nero spits the cd out and refuses to burn it. Maybe there are some options I need to fix or something, I just haven't been able to figure this out so I thought the easiest thing would be to split them

What version of nero have u got? maybe get rid of your current version (including all references to it in your registry) and get the latest one, if you havent already done so

nero 6 had a flaw, get the lastest from http://www.nero.com
if your burning as data it will fit, if your burning as svcd/vcd you need to splite it, but I wouldn't use nero as it does a shitty job encodeing
