Halflife Problem.

When ever I try to play a HalfLife multiplayer Net game , i get a message saying:

Could not connect to game server
Reason: Disconnect: Connection failed after four retries.

your connection isnt working well....

are there anyways i can fix this ?

you should call the isp and tell em about this problem...

to be honest i dont know what bootlegged is aand also, when i tried to connect to Chat room servers i got a message saying "Your Halflife version appears to be corrupted and out of date, please Update your current game"

So then i click update and well the game doesnt seem to update , nothing happens :(

did you download this game from kazaa or bittorent? or did you go to the store and buy it?

i downloaded it off kazaa , single player game seems to be working okay though.
