View Full Version : Windows Unrecognised hard drive

Hi I have a 4tb Seagate external usb hard drive its recognised in device manager and says driver are ok. The hard drive lights up but cant be seen anywhere in windows 7. AOMEI Partition Assistant, EaseUS Partition Master 14 or MiniTool Partition Wizard 12 none can see the drive anyone have any good ideas for me please

Hook it up to a different computer to see if it is an issue with your Windows installation or if it is an issue with the drive, if you have not already.

If diskmgmt.msc and BootICE can't see it either, you may be in trouble...

My suggestion....

Bust open the external case and plug the hard drive direct to a motherboard via sata/power connection...

Again it may be a long shot but i have saved some stuff on drives doing that.....

Again what can it hurt to try right.......
