Acer Scanprisa 340p On Winxp

OK..... i've tried every thing i know to make my scanner work in XP....tried about 3 or 4 different drivers (each driver is correct for the scanner) but still doesnt work... it doesnt detect it..... any ideas? Thx

btw, the driver is MiraScan Driver 3.42

where did you get the driver?

the first drivers were from acer, but now the drivers are made by benq (or at least distributed).... and i got em from benq site....as well as other sites from www.driverguide.com

lots o ppl have problems with this :(

also do run it through your parallel or usb port? if its through the parallel and going through your printer it may not detect it if you dont install the complete software pack that came with it, just installing the driver may not be enough ;) bit more info please :P

parallel port.... i already installed the default drivers then the updated driver..... same problem since the default pack is for win 98 <_<

edit...uninstall the scanner software and driver first and then do the new install as it says in guide, i think the prob is in the order you doing it, ;)

i just tried it and it worked ok for me, maybe server was busy? if you click on first link and go to the site you can dl it from there ;)

:angry: k now i got mad.... ok i tried it.....

first i installed the mirasacan xx_bqa.zip drivers, then ran the xx.zip drivers....removing the old ones, and then trying to add the scanner.....

did it backwards as well...doing firts the xx.zip and then xx_bqa.zip but didnt work...the scanner isnt added :unsure:
