Not a kids movie, even if they slap on the Disney label.

Was one of my favorite cartoons in my childhood. I'm really looking forward to this film.

The story in all is good.
But the acting and the the direction could've been a lot better. And there is not character development as such, which is what I look for when watching a movie.
The cuts and scenes are not linear and often do not add up to the next scene.

It would be funny with cartoon style. That story is not the same with real people

This remake is supposed to be closer to the original folklore though. That's why Mushu isn't included - he wasn't in the original, so this story is going to be a different one, just with the same characters.
Don't be to sure about that, it still is a Disney movie. The NEVER respect the original story.
Then again, what's the original story here?
You will find the start of the answer there : https://www.syfy.com/syfywire/the-real-story-of-mulan
You just need to unfold if it is of interest for you.
As you can see, a lot of legend surrounds it, and several versions exist... which is what I was getting at. Just like with Robin Hood or King Arthur, it's impossible to get the original story "right", as there may not even be one. It's about making an interpretation that's entertaining enough :)

Most of these live action Disney movies should have never been made. They are just cash grabs trying to grab a new generation.
This is like DLC and preorder bonuses on videogames. As long as people keep saying "no" but buying "yes", things are unlikely to change.
