I want to know if i will be able to run half-life 2 on my machine




my specs are:


2.0 ghz celeron
256 ram
intel extreme graphics
2 40 gig hard drives


i will upgrade the graphics card to the 9600 pro xt

that also comes with half-life 2 for free

frames per second, you need more ram, but 256mb is alright for the time being. i'd upgrade it as much as you possibly can. and yes, upgrade that vid. card. 30 fps is pretty good, it's not realtime.

edit: also, don't worry about the computers that play the videos, they are usually decked out multi-processor servers, with about 3 gb of ram, best graphics card out there, about 3-6 120 gb hd's, best sound card ever made, the sound system gives real time audio and such. the kinda stuff i have wet dreams about.

lets take 5fps: your monitor shows a frame/complete screen every 5 seconds. the human eye sees a slide show (of screens/frames)

lets take 23-30fps: your monitor shows a frame/complete screen every 23-30 seconds. the human eye sees a movie, depending on how good your eyes are (23-30)

hope this makes you able to decide for yourself.
