If you're talking speed, then 100% ---> Mozilla Firebird

Internet Explorer might not be the fastest or have the best features, but it is the most compatible browser.

Yeah that's true.

That's probably the only reason why i still use IE.

I switch back and forth between IE and Mozilla.
I can't really decide which I like better.

I was just using Mozilla, but after I got the Google Toolbar, I've started to really like IE again.

Well I've tried most of 'em over the last couple of years. Opera, Netscape, Mozilla... even the W3C's Amaya Editor/browser... but I kept going back to IE because of it's speed and compatibility.

Finally got around to installing Firebird today, and I'm running it now... so far it seems okay. It doesn't work with some of my favorite browser add-ons, but I think once I get it all set up properly, those add-ons will have become redundant anyway.

Compared to the original bloated Mozilla and Netscape browsers (bleh), Firebird's a major improvement. The built-in popup stopper's great too.

Ask me again in a week though. If I haven't gone back to IE by then, Firebird's a keeper for sure.

No. :P

Speed wasn't the reason I ditched Opera.
I didn't get into the mouse gestures, I didn't like it's layout and at 56K, all browsers are about the same... speedwise, anyway.

I put these topics and i want to say one thing. Many reports about security on IE are floating on the web ,but nobody think those reportes are because IE is very popular , everyone that has a pc has IE installed.I think if every pc in this world comes with Firebird or Opera ,be sure that someone discover security holes.

Yes, i agree, but because of this same popularity there are very many people trying to exploit these vulneribilities.

I use IE as my main browser, and Firebird as my second. But it seems that Google doesn't work in Firebird, which is annoying. I can't understand why it doesn't work, is google written in a different way to other websites? But it's good in other ways though.

I don't know why google doesn't work for you, that's certainly not the norm. The only time i have to use IE is to visit Windows Update, otherwise there are no compatibility issues.

Ie with popupcop.

Popcop intergrate with ie perfect with little pop down that gives you control over every thing. :D

I've tried Mozilla, Mozilla Firebird, and Opera. Each time, I like it when I first get it, and IE is definately slower than the others, but every time I go back to IE. I still gotta say that IE's the best out of all of them. With every other browser, I'll get wierd errors. For instance, one day, Opera just stopped downloading files all together. (I could use Getright or Flashget). I've also have flash applet and java applet errors with each other browser. I could get some to work, but there would just be certain sites that have problems. I could never get bittorrents to work with either. And also, I needed IE for Windows Updates.

Some argue that IE has alot of security holes... and it does. But, frankly, these have never affected me.

IE may be slower than some others, but as far as compatability goes, IE wins hands down. And some users may prefer speed other compatability, but personally I don't.

I'd always take something a little slower that gets the job done right over something that's gonna screw up on sites I go to, but is a little faster.

Opera.

Didn't have any problems with the above links (although I did not surf around them or try to dl anything) and windows update also gives me a problem.

I love the tabbed browsing. Now when I use IE I get so frustrated opening up a second browser window just to view another page.

I also like the choice in skins. I have the neanderthal one and like it.

I've just tried visiting Google on Firebird just now, and it seems to be working OK now. I don't know what could have happened before.
