Whats a good card. Im not sure, not a graphics person, but I want to play the newiest games, and really go with the flow.

Im running on 2.4Ghz @ 256MB DDR 2700 with a Geforce 4 MMX 440.

So you can see why I want to upgrade it. I got a budget of about £150 - £150.

UK sites/stores only.

ati radeon 9600 pro (look on ebuyer)

or found a 128MB XFX GeForce FX5700 Ultra here (http://www.cclcomputers.biz/jscript_menu/retail/retail_frame.htm) for only 152.33 (inc VAT)

I dont know what the prices in your country are, but you could get a ati radeon 9600 xt for that money in the Netherlands.

buy one of these (http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=51440) and one of these (http://www.crucial.com/uk/store/PartSpecs.asp?imodule=CT3264Z335&cat=RAM) and it all works out nicely

Dont know about the 256 mb xt, but the 256 mb pro was actualy a bit slower then the 128 mb pro version.

get an asylum 128mb gfFX5700ultra

actually, when i think about it, the 5600 ultra does a fucking good job too

but you dont need to upgrade! an mx440 should keep you tied down for another year!

oh yea and the 9600XTs suffer from d3d lockup syndrome, occasionally, such as on Generals, it will lock up. If it could be switched to opengl, do it!
