View Full Version : A Problem

I am having some problems staying connected to Kazaa lite. I have Diet K 2.52 and Kazaa Lite 2.4 K++. Everything was working fine for the past couple of days but now all of the sudden I get this "Kazaa lite has encountered a problem and needs to shut down" message and gives me the option of sending error or not sending error. That is the exact same thing that happened to me when I had regular Kazaa, everything works fine then bam, problem message all the time. Any suggestions on what it might be and what I can do to fix this? I've even uninstalled and reinstalled and when I do this it works for awhile then all the sudden this message appears again, I don't know what is going on.
Thanks much!

you might be low on system resources...
try setting the prioity higher on kl

I am not quite sure if I know what you mean by setting priority higher on KL? Please explain a bit more.
Thanks

ctrl+alt+delete/processes/kazaalite.kpp/right-click on it/set priority/.....

Ok, I tried that but the message that kazaa encountered an error still pops up and closes the program. Any other suggestions on what might be causing this?

Oh, I forgot to add a little info as well, I am on a LAN connection. Hope this may help stimulate some ideas.

you might have a corrupt file, in "my shared folder",
move all the files that are in "my shared folder" and put them into a temp folder.

Ok, that absolutely worked!!! Now, how do I figure out which file is corrupted and how do I get it off my computer? Any suggestions because I want to put some fo those files back into my shared folder so others have a chance to download them so I don't come off as such a leach? Thanks a million morpheus!!

add them in one at a time, and see if kazaa works each time...
then when it stops working you have found the corrupt file

I'm not all that computer savy as you can probably tell, but I have another question? When I go into my folder, I've been seeing this "dat" file that is labled like "download17456682653" or something like that, is this bad and what exactly is a DAT file?

i think its the file that is put there when you start downloading something, it is replaced by the completed file after downloading

empty all your files from the shared folder to a temp and tell me if this is happening

Yep, it worked. Now I am just trying to locate the corrupt file so I can get rid of it.

@ MM- also, setting the priority higher on a program that you are running can be effective, if you have a really slow processor, or very little ram,and can improve that programs speed...

boss that is not a fix its a cover up
why don't you stop worring about your post count and
1: learn how to edit, you see anybody else having 2 post in a row???
2 sit back and learn, its does not take 7 posts to tell somebody they might have a corrupt file
@JDRAGON you need to put them back in one by one and see which one/s cause the problem and then try fixing those or delete them ( yes morpheus corrupt files can be fixed)

LOL, this is funny. Some people just paste and post without reading the whole thread. It gets up the old post count tho.
As for the cover up not being a solution. Has anyone come up with a solution for KazaaLite not connecting or just not working properly. Are we still on the "find another supernode" fix, i mean, cover up.

if your klite is not connecting its a firewall, router, isp, or a bad supernode issue, those are the only reason and it has nothing to do with klite itself or this thread
