New "music Reviews" Section For Musicworld

Should we (MusicWorld) get a new section under Requests (http://klboard.ath.cx/index.php?showforum=33) Just for posting reviews on various singles and albums?

Obviously Yes we do need a Music Reviewing thread to know whats good or bad if we want to dow... oops sorry buy from the stores. :D

I always use the All Music Guide for music reviews but I still voted yes. I think that it would be interesting to hear what people other than music critics think of an album. Everyone has a different perspective when it comes to listening to something so it would be cool to see what music fans think of an album.

Looks like everyone wants it so far and so do I. If this is done it needs to be done for the otherworlds too like MovieWorld, GamesWorld etc . .

I am a music lover also as many of you know,

The forum is already untidy.

Besides how many copy and pasted reviews
from AllMusic.com do we need to see? ;)

for a start the idea of reviewing an album is our own views not a copy and paste from almusic.com

secondly Allmusic.com usually takes 1 month + before it does a review on a new album

and I would hope each user that would submit a review wouldn't just copy and paste a review from another website....It wouldn't be a "user review" then.

I've seen some mini reviews from the users here (that were not copied from other sites) which myself and others found very helpfull.

well i wouldn't let someone else decide what music you should listen to or not, but I'd take it as advice.

and Jibbler said it best when he said we should get rid of verifieds in a can.
Just throw those into the Verifieds section and put up a Reviews subforum.

But like nikkid said we might not get a sub forum. Would a mod be open to making a sticky about it. Because it is obvious that there is intrestedin this by having the vast majority voting yes.

I like to ask someone before i d/l an album and this would be a great way i that i could get imput on it or give input on a certain album or song.

same here, I usually like to know what something sounds like. If it sounds similar to another band or if it sounds worse then previous albums.

Most people claim to want to hear an mp3 before they "buy" the album... <_<
I want to read up on what it sounds like before i download the album :D
